✨ Disney Dining Plan: Worth It or Not? 🍽️✨

Last trip, I took the plunge and opted for the Disney Dining Plan. For me, it turned out to be a great choice—I broke about even, which is pretty good! 😄

Here’s why it worked for me:
1. **Character Meals**: We did several character meals, which are usually pricier but so much fun and memorable.
2. **Sit-Down Reservations**: Made the most of our table service credits with some fantastic sit-down meals. Plus, many of these included an alcoholic drink, which can add extra value—I only took advantage of this two out of four times, so I could have saved even more!
3. **Pre-Pay Convenience**: Being able to make payments and basically pre-pay for almost all of our food made budgeting for the trip so much easier!

If you’re planning to do multiple character meals and love having a plan, the Dining Plan can definitely be worth it! 🏰✨

However, if you’re more of a go-with-the-flow person who enjoys snacking and trying different things throughout the day, the Dining Plan might not be the best fit for you. We love our traditional churros, Mickey pretzels, and popcorn, which are on the lower price end for Disney snacks, so we could have saved even more if we chose different snack options. 🌟

We were excited for Dumbo’s magic at Magic Kingdom, especially the indoor play area! 😍 But soon we were disappointed to find out Genie+ means missing out on this gem. 😔

Who knew it was only for the regular line? 🤷‍♂️

The indoor play area offers a cool escape from the Florida sun (or rain), perfect for little ones while waiting to fly with the elephants! 🐘☀️🌧️

Despite the setback, our trip was still magical, but lesson learned: research park services like Genie+ for the full experience! 🎢✨

We tried it out this last visit when we needed to get from our resort to the Contemporary for a tasty lunch.

🏰 **Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Epcot** 🏰
Rating: 10/10
🍽️ Family-style breakfast offers multiple options, perfect for picky eaters.
👑 Princesses spent quality time at each table, making the experience feel personalized and not rushed.

🎬 **Hollywood & Vine, Hollywood Studios** 🎬
Rating: 10/10
🍽️ Buffet style allows flexibility for picky eaters.
🤩 Mickey and friends interact with everyone at the table, creating a memorable experience for the whole family.

🌹 **Be Our Guest Restaurant, Magic Kingdom** 🌹
Rating: 8/10
🍽️ Preset menu with limited options for kids, but outstanding food quality.
👸 Belle’s absence affected the character experience, but the enchanting decor and excellent service compensated.

🍴 **Chef Mickey’s, Contemporary Resort** 🍴
Rating: 2/10
🥲 Rushed character interactions left a disappointing and impersonal experience.
📸 Buffet style was a plus, but lack of meaningful interactions and personalized touch overshadowed the visit.

Something I’ve learned through all my Disney trips is always be prepared for anything! Especially weather issues (I mean we are going into hurricane season).🌎🌀 I do like to have somewhat of a structure/plan to our trips but I also know that there can be weather issues and/or children meltdown issues 🤣🤣 Looking at the weather I know it’s possible to get a rainy day or two during our trip. I do the best I can to prepare for the rain (ie. rain gear for us and the stroller) but sometimes turning the rainy day into a resort day may be needed as well. ✨Have you seen the Main Street Electrical Parade?!✨If so did you love it?! Or do you like the day parades more?!✨Did you know the very first time this parade was introduced was back in 1972! Disney brings it back for limited times at different parks (we got to see it in April 2022) so we can still enjoy the magic of all the lights. ✨The parade has about 575,000 lights!!!!
