Disney Character Dining Tip

For character meals like breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace, Cape May, and ‘Ohana where there is only character breakfast and no lunch right after, look for the latest dining reservation time because you’re more likely to get interactions like this one (which went on for a good minute).

That’s because there are so few people left in the restaurant, characters are able to spend more time with each table.

*This would also apply to the last dinner reservation possible, but those may be too late for young kids.

Genie+ tip - If at first you don’t succeed, try again.

This morning at 7am I tried for a Slinky Dog Dash Lightning Lane. I was successful but the time was 12:00-1:00pm and seeing as we had an out of the park dining reservation at that time that wasn’t going to work. I canceled the reservation and tried again and got 9:10-10:10am!

Many people assuming Genie+ is going to give you the next available Lightning Lane time, but that is not always the case and I have experienced that at least twice this trip.

*A better time is not always guaranteed. But if the first time you are assigned absolutely cannot work within your schedule, try again.
