The North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center turned 30 this week. Happy Anniversary and thanks for all the incredible shows!

This post is also proof that Nathan Bell has basically been the man when it comes to photography for an entire era of Charleston history.

Celebrating 30 Years! On January 29, 1993, the North Charleston Coliseum opened its doors for the first time to live entertainment, sports, and family fun. The first show was “World Figure Skating Champions” featuring Olympic Champions Elizabeth Manley, Marina Klimova, and Sergio Ponomarenko. The following night, country music superstars Alan Jackson and Lorrie Morgan took the stage for the first ever concert in the Coliseum. Please be safe this holiday season! Water live Christmas trees. Toss out frayed Christmas lights. Be mindful of open candle flames and fire places. Don't overload electrical outlets. Turn off decorative lights when you go to sleep. And make sure fire detection devices have fresh batteries and are working properly.

The animals at Charles Towne Landing would love your Christmas tree... 🎄❤️

Recycle your Christmas tree! ♻️🎄

It's almost time to take down the holiday decorations, so instead of tossing out the tree, donate it to the Animal Forest! The animals love to hide under them, roll on them, and play with them! The goats and bison even like to eat them!

➡️ Trees must still be green.

➡️ Tree must be free of all decorations, lights and tinsel.

➡️ No artificial trees or trees that have been sprayed with chemicals can be accepted.

➡️ Donations can be dropped off at the Animal Forest office during park hours.

Call (843) 852-4200 for directions!
