People always assume that the best part of being a travel professional must be the number of travel miles I rack up every year. Those are great perks but my absolute favorite perk of being a travel pro is the beautiful vacation photos of happy clients I see during their travels & overall getting to share the possibilities of what the world has to offer through travel. There are so many people that have never been outside of their city or state because they believe they can't afford travel or don't make time to explore. Travel doesn't have to break the bank & you need a getaway every once in a while for your mental wealth. We only get one life & my hope is that every family gets to see a different part of this beautiful world at least once a year.
I wanted to share so you know just how much I love what I do.

Here's a glimpse of the property I stayed at.
This is an all-inclusive adults only property that's located right in between 2 other Riu properties. So not only did I get to enjoy the amenities at my property, I got to partake in the amenities, food, spa, entertainment etc at the neighboring properties as well.
The lovely thing about their properties is they are consistent in whatever country they're located.. Clean, chic, modern with daily entertainment, several restaurants onsite with good food & some of the properties have an outside fitness area for outdoor yoga etc.
I had a relaxing time & didn't have to leave for anything if I didn't want to.

These are a few snapshots of where the Marley ancestors rest slide #3. Also where Bob Marley's mother & himself rest in pic #4 & 10. The video is a portion of his childhood home which is fragmented & the way they lived during that time.
Pic #7 is his meditation rock.
Pic #9 you must remove your shoes before entering the sacred resting place of the legend Bob Marley where no footage can be taken.
The kitchen & washroom could be totally separate from other portions of the home based on what could be afforded to be built at that time.

A few snapshots of my recent trip to Jamaica 🇯🇲.. Hard to get the beach pics when you're traveling solo but it's all good & I had a wonderful time.
Can't have a travel business & be afraid to travel alone😂ijs..

Tip:Don't be afraid to travel alone.
*If you're new to traveling by yourself start local (within your state or neighboring state) & choose hotels in a busy area with shopping strips or plazas or a hotel with restaurants & shops onsite. This way all you need will be in one vicinity.
*If you travel international specifically the Carribean, book an all inclusive resort so you have everything you need at the resort & the only reason to venture off would be an excursion which is always done in groups of 2 or more.
*Do your homework on the area of hotel or resort as well.
*Where I stayed was located in between 2 other properties so I wasn't in a secluded area. I had access to 2 other properties right next door & could partake in their festivities & dinning & alcohol🍸🍹.

Don't let your joy be dependent upon someone else's availability.
All you have is today..

Have you ever wondered how to pick the best
all-inclusive resort?

#1 First start by deciding what atmosphere you want to be in. Do you want an adults only scene or family friendly scene? Adults only 18 and up means a younger crowd you may or may not be looking for. For example if you're looking for something more romantic try a resort that is not only for adults but couples only. Mexico and the Caribbean have plenty of all inclusive resorts to choose from.

#2 Compare amenities
All-Inclusive resorts offers different packages and it's the little details that can make a big difference from resort to resort. Also it's always good to have realistic expectations. If it's a 3 star resort most likely filet mignon isn't on the menu & the rum probably isn't top shelf. You want to make sure you book a vacation that will meet your expectations.

but not least, Check out the location. If you want to take a journey into town for shopping or night life you want to choose a hotel or resort that's in close proximity to these things.

And that’s it! That’s how you pick the perfect all-inclusive resort.

It probably comes as no surprise to you that I absolutely love to travel. My greatest joy in life is seeing the world. When I land in a destination the first thing I do is unpack, grab a cocktail, head to the beach then start researching the best places to eat.

My official title is travel professional but if I could choose one that’s a better reflection of what I do, it would probably be something like travel godmother or memory making coordinator. I help families plan the perfect getaways, women plan group retreats for their squads and help the solo traveler that's inspired to set out on a new adventure. Whether it's a travel professional/advisor or travel godmother I love what I do! If you could choose a more accurate title for what you do, what would it be?

When you know, you know, am I right? I've been a travel advisor for a while.
I knew without a doubt it's what I wanted to do when I took my first off-the-beaten-path trip to the Caribbean and realized there's so much others don't see and I wanted to do something that would allow me to see the world. Fast forward and I can't imagine myself doing anything else.
I love what I do!

I read an interesting article in Travel Magazine the other day that said 3 of the top 5 destinations to visit in the US right now are Washington DC, Nashville TN & Orlando FL.

Here’s what I think: If you've never had the chance to visit Orlando & take in the experience of Walt Disney World you should definitely add this destination to your list. Orlando offers you the opportunity to temporarily close the door on the hustle & bustle of everyday life & step into the charming world of Disney. Take in the magic & be a kid again just for a few days.

Nashville is known to be the music mecca of the US. From the wonderfully unique savory southern dishes this city is famous for from its hot & spicy fried chicken to its fluffy biscuits Nashville has something to offer the foodie in everyone. Oh and don't forget Tennessee is the home of Jack Daniels so if your palate is fond of whiskey there's no shortage here.

Last but not least Washington D.C. Aside from being the home of our nation's capital DC is rich with culture from its historical museums to its beautiful Botanic Gardens.
Oh & don't forget to make a trip to the famous Ben's Chili Bowl visited by many presidents & celebrities to the local chili lover.
