We have our final day of touring as we explore the southern end of Lake Como, including the village of Cernobbio, enjoy lunch on the waterfront and take a memorable private boat ride along the shores of Lake Como to see all the historic and luxurious villas. We have a fun dinner together in a top pizzeria in a small local neighborhood near Milan.

Fantastic day as we drive north to Torino Italy and board the stunning Bernina Express Train for a journey into the Alps spending the afternoon in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Jaw dropping scenery was enjoyed by all during this world famous 2 hour train ride each way.

Today we visit one of the most beautiful villages on Lake Como Varenna including lunch near the water. We continued a short distance to Orrido di Bellano, grottos and caves with rushing waters carving a path to the lake over the last 15 million years.

We take a ferry today to Tremezzo area on Lake Como to visit Ville Carlotta and see it's stunning botanical gardens, painting and sculptures. Another ferry takes us to bustling Bellagio for lunch including a little walk around with our knowledgeable guide Piedro.

After 4 nights waterfront on Lake Garda we journeyed today to Lake Como, but stopped by the city of Milan for a few hours of touring and lunch. We enjoyed one of the top museums in Italy, the Brera and also saw the Castello Sforzesco and impressive Cathedral. We arrived in stunning Lake Como for a stay in the quaint village of Mandello for 4 nights.

We spend the day visiting the fascinating past Roman city of Brescia, including viewing two UNESCO sites. We have a great lunch in a local restaurant before traveling a short ways to Lake Iseo where we embark on a boat out to Monte Isola an island in the center of the lake with a picturesque fishing village. Fun show on the deck of the hotel this evening.

We head down past the south end of Lake Garda today to the fairytale medieval town of Borghetto sul Mincio. We spend the morning learning to make Tortellini from scratch and then eating our hard work with fresh baked bread and wine. We had an interesting walk with a local guide through the town and enjoyed a shaded Gelato sweet treat.

Our first full day on beautiful Lake Garda is spent exploring the stunning town of Limone where we are staying. We then cross the lake by paddle wheeler to visit the neighboring town of Malcesine. We have a beautiful four course lunch, wine and lemoncello under umbrellas along the waterfront. A little shopping rounds out a magical lake district day..

We spent the day exploring the historic and beautiful city of Romeo and Juliet, Verona, Italy. Visiting with a terrific guide including time with a local leather artisan. After a 4 course lunch, we continue to our next region and start of our 1st waterfront stay at Lake Garda in the Italian Lake District..

Day four has us exploring the stunning city of Vicenzia, home to wonderful buildings by architect Palladio. We tour his stunning theater the Tietro Olympico, Villa La Rotonda and have a wonderful Italian lunch in a top spot near the ancient city walls.

Day three and we are off by train for a day in Venice. We explore the canals and alleyways of the city including going off the beaten path. We have lunch at an intimate restaurant on the island, take two gondola rides and even have exclusive access to a 300 year old gondola workshop where these legendary boats are created.

Day two has us visiting the ancient and fascinating city of Padua which has existed on the crossroads of history since Roman times. We explore the worlds first botanical garden, visit the amazing Basilica of St. Anthony where the saint is entombed and see the stunning Scrovegni Chapel with frescos painted by Giotto which evolved the very artform. We even had lunch at the famous Pedrocchi Cafe. Celebrated Mike Bruce's birthday in Italy.

We had our first day of the tour and started in the gorgeous town of Cison di Valmarino, not another tourist in site. We then explore one of the oldest castles in Europe Castillo Brando with lunch at stunning Villa d'Arfanta producers of some of the best prosecco in the region..

Our last day of touring in Turkey was a day at leisure. It was a day of shopping, maybe a Turkish Hamman Spa, or just moments looking at the dreamy landscape. We stopped by an ancient Caravanserai where many enjoyed a whirling dervish ceremony before we had a farewell dinner cooked by a local family.

It was a big day, starting for some at 4am and a balloon ride over fairytale terrain of Cappadocia. Then we were off to go below ground at the underground city of Kaymakli. We then visited the stunning cave churches of Goreme with frescos from the 11th century. We do a little Turkish rug shopping and enjoy a late night out with folkloric dancing.

We continue from Konya and enter the legendary Cappadocia Region. We visit the largest Caravansaria on the famous Silk Road and the enjoy a demonstration at a local ceramic craft house. We have lunch with a family and bake fresh bread in a tandoor oven. We arrive for a 3 night stay in the stunning Yunak Everlie Cave hotel with rooms carved into the cliff face from the 5th and 6th century.

We say goodbye to the southern coast of Turkey and cross the Ta**us mountain range headed to Konya in the high central plains. We stop by the largest lake in Turkey for lunch, visit a UNESCO recognized 900 year old mosque and enjoy a beautiful Hittite archeological site. Upon arriving into Konya, we stop by the Rumi mausoleum the mystic responsible for Turkey's Whirling Dervishes.

We journey to the ancient city of Perge today to walk the historic shopping street featuring Tabernas (shops). We then visit the best restored ancient theater in Europe, Aspendos theatre. We enjoy a homemade baked lunch at a local home much fresh from the garden.
