Thank You Jeff

Jeff is an ‘original’ thinker, doer, researcher and implementer! Since joining Retirement DYNAMICS in 2005, he has provided leadership in many ways. He has performed over 90 market analyses in 19 states, completed mailed written surveys for 56 clients with 9,259 responses, and held 136 focus groups for 33 sponsors with over 1,939 in attendance. To say Jeff had made a mark on the senior living industry is an understatement!

His work with Retirement DYNAMICS has been vital as he helped clients make sense of complicated situations. Whether the engagement was market research for an expansion, a “Greenfield” project or an intensely focused sales effectiveness evaluation at a challenged community, his goal was also to bring the client an objective assessment in terms that were useful.

Jeff has been planning and developing retirement communities and health care facilities since 1978. Successes on the regulatory side, as a planning consultant, and as a leader of a sponsor’s development team gave him the ability to understand retirement communities from a variety of points of view.

As Director for Planning and Project Director with The Kendal Corporation, he assessed opportunities for new developments in New York, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and South Carolina and led new projects in a diverse number of states within equally diverse target audiences. As National Director for Health Planning with Marriott Senior Living Services, he successfully pursued regulatory approvals in Illinois, Connecticut, Maryland and Florida. As an Internal Consultant to a Washington, D.C. law firm, Jeff was recognized as an expert witness in regulatory health planning in nine states.

Jeff serves on township and regional planning commissions. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of The Hickman Home. Jeff received a B.A. in Psychology from Earlham University in Richmond, Indiana and earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of South Carolina.

He resides in West Chester, PA with his wife, Kathy, of 50 years and affectionate dog, Senji.
Jeff and Kathy are avid gardeners. Their son, Bailey, is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of York in the UK.

Jeff has provided guidance and thought-provoking wisdom to the entire Retirement DYNAMICS Team and the senior living industry. His quick wit has kept us from taking ourselves too seriously. His presence will be greatly missed.
