This Women's History Month, the AMA recognizes outstanding women in its Hall of Fame who have improved motorcycling for all riders.
A pioneer for women riders, Dot Robinson was instrumental in forming the Motor Maids, an organization for women who enjoyed motorcycling.
She also opened doors for women in racing, competing in endurance runs in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s despite attempts to prevent her from participating. In 1940, she became the first woman to win an AMA National event, claiming the sidecar class in the prestigious Jack Pine National Endurance Championship.
