🇺🇸 Here's a Fun Fact for you! 🇺🇸

Since real American flags must follow the national flag code, such as flying at half-mast during times of mourning, most of the ones at Disney are fakes. Yup, they were purposefully made to be missing a stripe or a star so the park doesn't have to worry about flag etiquette—because its flags are technically pennants.

Here's a PRO TIP in honor of World Photography Day! I'm not sure if you know this, but there is an adorable photo studio in the Magic Kingdom that is included with the Memory Maker photo package. Inside Sir Mickey's (behind Cinderella Castle) is the Royal Portrait Studio. You might be fooled into thinking that this is just for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeovers, but NOPE! It's a PhotoPass experience and anyone can stop here to have their photos taken. If you've purchased Memory Maker, you're all set. If not, you'll have to purchase the photos if you want them. Just
like any other PhotoPass picture, these will show up in your My Disney Experience app.

A question I often get from my guests is "what's included in EPCOT's International Food & Wine Festival?" While actual food and wine is available for purchase at booths throughout the park, one thing included with your EPCOT park admission is the Eat to the Beat concert series. During this festival, the American Gardens Theater is host to popular music acts that play 20-30 minute sets a few times a day Fridays thru Mondays (with local acts performing Tues-Thurs).

Lastly, Disneyland isn’t the only place getting an Avenger upgrade!

An all-new Spiderman thrill attraction coming to Shanghai Disneyland! Peter Parker has gotten himself — and us — in a bit of a tight spot. We’re going to follow HIM – at very high speeds – to get us out of trouble.

And coming to Hong Kong Disney, is an expanding Stark Expo. Tony Stark has invited his friends, and new Stark Industries intern, Peter Parker to showcase some new inventions, but unfortunately, that also means this has also caught the attention of one of Spidey’s most formidable villains. Guests are caught in the middle of the action while they fight to protect the new tech!

🚢The parks aren’t the only things with new things coming out of D23 this year. Disney Cruise Lines has some major news as well! What’s better than one new Disney Cruise Ship? How about FOUR new ships to join the fleet? That’s right! Currently Disney Cruise Lines has 5 ships currently in the fleet, Magic, Wonder, Fantasy, Dream, and wish. The Disney Treasure sets sail this December, while the Disney Adventure and the Disney Destiny is set to make it’s maiden voyage next year. Another ship still to be announced sets sail in 2028. And now four others are in the works bringing the fleet to a total of 13! The ship names, designs, and exciting itineraries are still in development, but you can start dreaming about your next sailing now!⚓️

Speaking of the Disney Destiny, the signature production aboard has just been announced! “Disney Hercules” featuring the music and characters you know and love from the classic film! The Disney Treasure will also see a new stage production, “Disney The Tale of Moana” and will include a 15 ft giant puppet of Te Kā on stage.

Ready for more? Walt Disney World isn't the only theme park getting some upgrades! D23 has announced that Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA has some exciting things to come as well!

DISNEYLAND PARK
⭐️The first ever Walt Disney Audio-Animatronics Figure is coming! Stop by for a visit when “Walt Disney: A Magical Life” begins playing at the Main Street Opera House at Disneyland. The past, present and future are coming together, giving visitors the chance to imagine what it would be like to stop by Walt’s office. After its initial debut, the show will then play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.” Debuting in 2025

🐸Blue Skies and Sunshine are ahead! It’s time to head on down to the Bayou as Tiana’s Bayou officially opens at Disneyland on Nov 15, 2024! Not only that but Critter Country will be renamed to Bayou Country once it officially opens. This will be the home to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and the Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes, and well as the newly reimagined Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree.

In a galaxy far far away...new updates to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge have also been announced! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will feature a new mission with Mando and Grogu! This new addition to the attraction will be at both Walt Disney World Resort as well as Disneyland Resort. You can expect to see this new mission jump into lightspeed when the new movie "The Mandalorian and Grogu" hits the big screen in 2026.

DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE
🌊Are you ready to dive into a new world? While Pandora-The World of Avatar in Disney World's Animal Kingdom is based on the first "Avatar" film. A new destination is making its way to the West Coast and is inspired by the newer film "Avatar: The Way of Water". This new land will feature a new thrilling excursion bringing all the action, excitement, and wonder of Avatar, taking guests all the way to the wide-open seas of Pandora. Construction begins next year!

🦸‍♂️Ready to save the world and galaxy again? Well, suit up, because new Avengers experiences are coming to Disney California Adventure, Avengers Campus will double in size with the addition of two new attractions – Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. At Avengers Infinity Defense, the technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing and Thanos is using it to wreak havoc. Recruits will travel to iconic locations around the galaxy for this adventure of a lifetime. Tony Stark has another mission for you if you’re up for it! Star Flight Lab will feature test stations with two-person pods whirling you around in a simulated flight with Mr. Stark himself.

💀Seize your moment! The first-ever “Coco” ride in a Disney Park is coming to Disney’s California Adventure. The new attraction will be filled with the characters and music you know and love from the movie as you join Migual on a trip to the land of the dead. Construction begins 2026

So many new announcements have been made at the D23 conference this weekend and I am so excited to share them with you. And these aren’t just blue sky announcements for some time, somewhere down the road. No, these are things they’re building right now, and for many, you’ll start to see them come to life over the next five years. The sky’s the limit, and they’re only just getting started.

Let's start with some amazing new things coming to Walt Disney World, Florida.

MAGIC KINGDOM
🚗Start your engines because Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater are racing into Magic Kingdom! That's right Disneyland has stood out for their distinctive lands including Cars Land. Now Walt Disney World is getting it's own Cars Land in Frontierland with two new attractions! Experience a thrilling rally race as you climb mountain trails, doge geysers, and splash through mudholes! A second attraction will be geared for the smaller racers! Construction Stars early 2025!

😈This is no happily ever after. A new Villains Land has just been announced! Get ready to see a darker side of your favorite fairytales when villians cast a spell over Magic Kingdom. This new wicked space will be home to two new major attractions, dining and shopping on an incredibly twisted grand scale. Construction begins soon!

✨Missing the "Main Street Electrical Parade?". Well when the sun sets in the Magic Kingdom in the summer of 2025, a new parade will waltz down Main Street! Get ready to witness "Disney Starlight", a new night time spectacular parade featuring beloved characters from Peter Pan, Encanto, Frozen, and more all brought to you by the Blue Fairy. Other Disney parks around the world also have new spectaculars on the horizon! A new "Reach for the Stars" nighttime spectacular debuts at Tokyo Disneyland on Sept 20, 2024 and coming in Jan 2025, Disneyland Paris will also unveil its own nighttime spectacular!

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS:
🚪Monsters, Inc. Land coming to Hollywood Studios. From meeting James P. Sullivan, A.K.A Sulley & Mikey Wazowski to a new ride where you can zoom through the factory on the first suspended coaster ever in a Disney park, much like Sulley and Mike did on the doors! Construction begins 2025

That's right! Experience a new Indiana Jones experience unlike anything you've seen before plus a new Encanto themed ride inside Antonio's new room! Sprouting to life in 2027! This new land is set to replace DinoLand U.S.A but don't worry you still have some time to roam with the Dinosaurs!

🐰Those aren't the only changes coming to Animal Kingdom! The newest show coming to the Tree of Life Theater features Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and all their friends from Zootopia! The new show, "Zootopia: Better Zootogether!" will take guests on an adventure through different biome seen in the film and opens next winter!

EPCOT
🏎Explore the past, present, and future of automation with a newly-rethemed Test Track presented by Chevrolet. Featuring six new distinct exhibits in the queue and new shoe scenes! Construction has already begun and will reopen in 2025

This separate ticketed event is all treats with no tricks. Special party exclusive character (hey, Jack and Sally), snacks, merchandise and shows alone are worth the price of admission. The Disney Destiny will sail year-round from Port Everglades, starting in November 2025. The ship will embark on four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean, including Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay.

Your legend begins soon! Castaway Club members can secure an inaugural season spot as early as Sept. 6, 2024, with bookings opening to the public on Sept. 12, 2024.
