I am SO glad I didn’t miss this opportunity for my client! 👇

Last year, a client booked a trip to San Juan, PR and came to me with a very clear budget in mind.

I always honor my clients‘ budgets of course, but based on their list of things they wanted I knew they would enjoy the oceanview suite over the gardenview, I mean, who wouldn’t?!

The problem? It was technically out of budget.

Out of budget within the week they originally wanted, that is.

I knew my clients had a bit of a flexible timeline for their trip and a simple tweak to the week they booked meant that we could shave a bunch of money off the cost and get them that ocean view at just a little over their budget.

I’m SO glad I have great relationships and can take suggestions to my clients, and that they trust me to do what‘s in the best interest of their all too valuable vacation time.

Spoiler alert: they had NO regrets about the little extra they spent for the view and I’m so happy we could make it all work.

Is on your radar?

If you’re thinking of taking a 'baecation' trip week off work to do absolutely nothing, it absolutely should be!

And on my recent stay back in July I got all of the intel.
Things you’re not going to find listed on those big booking sites online.

I’m talking handling transfers after a bad experience at another resort, live entertainment by the pool, the works!

If you’re someone who doesn’t just want a place to lay your head but wants an experience when you stay at a hotel or resort you need the inside scoop.

Things like:

👉 Which room has the best views without the premium price tag
👉 Whether the suite is worth the upgrade
👉 The best weeks to visit to skip the big crowds

This, and all of the other intel I pick up when I’m staying at a hotel or resort is why my clients choose to plan and book their trips with me instead of doing it online themselves.

These are things you just can’t know from a few photos and a list of amenities.

If you added up all the time it takes to put together all the pieces of a great trip to Europe, what would it add up to?

Hours, days, months, years? If you said “too many to count” I can vouch! I do this every single day for clients.

But it’s part of what I do, it’s not necessarily something you have time in your schedule for so let me share three time-saving travel planning tips.

___ Narrow down your destination so you’re not researching too many places, only to rule them out after you’ve done a lot of legwork

___ Before you get too deep in your research, quickly look up travel requirements to make sure you can meet them.

___ Make a list of must-haves when it comes to accommodations. Some places will and won’t fit your requirements, so this is a great way to narrow down your choices.

And a fourth bonus tip, call me and delegate it all so you can keep your sanity!

T’is the season to give! And if you’re thinking about gifting travel this Holiday season…

First of all, your giftee is lucky to have you in their life.

And second of all, here are a few tips for a perfectly executed gifted trip:

🎁 If possible, to keep things open-ended. Unless you’re 100% sure someone can depart on the exact dates you decide, it’s worthwhile keeping things flexible, just in case.

🎁 You may want to forgo pre-booking something. Instead, gift a token that represents the trip, like a map, brochure, or travel-related items, and then allow the person you’re gifting to plan the trip with a trusted travel advisor.

🎁 Sometimes it’s not the trip. It’s the journey. You may want to make the person you’re gifting a part of the travel planning process and give them VIP treatment by having an advisor who can curate and do the heavy lifting of booking the travel once they decide where they’d like to go.

Pros & Cons of Booking a Trip on Your Own ⬇️

You can totally plan your own trips yourself, so the question really should be, is it worth the hassle?

The Pros:

✅ Full control: Every detail is yours to decide — flights, hotels, activities — it’s all up to you.

✅ The thrill of the hunt: Love chasing deals? This is your moment to shine.

✅ The planning high: Nothing is more exciting than envisioning the trip that’s waiting for you on the other end!
The Cons:

❌ Option overload: Hundreds of tabs open, thousands of reviews and no real clarity on what destination to book, where to stay, what to do, etc.

❌ The endless coordinating: You’ve gotta map out the full itinerary, make sure everything jives, book the right flights, coordinate tours and experience — then you’ve gotta keep track of it all.

❌ Valuable time lost: Unless you’re choosing a generic vacation package, then you’re stuck figuring out every single element of the trip yourself.
