In about 6 days Paul and I will be heading on vacation to the Western Caribbean via Virgin Voyages Cruise Line! We will be sailing on a 6 night ADULTS ONLY cruise out of Miami. We're packing our bags and heading out to explore new adventures!

This resort is five hours away from Walt Disney World. This elegant home away from home resort is modeled after a 1940's fishing and hunting lodge. Day 5: Disney's California Adventure.

This was our last full day before heading to the last hotel by the airport to head home the next day.

Paul, Ben and I actually went over to Disney's California Adventures the night before because we had Park Hoppers with our tickets so that we could go between the parks. One of the things that I wanted to watch was the World of Color night show. It was soo gorgeous to see all the waterworks, colors and projections. Bonus, this one was holiday themed World of Color - Season of Light, as it was the Festival of the Holidays. We didn't get to explore the Festival as much as we wanted to, but there is always another time.

I was able to go on WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. That such fun and such an arm work out. Paul and Ben went on the Incredicoaster as I toured the shops before I almost beating Paul in Toy Story Mania. One of most favorite rides.

The next day the whole party went started our day in Disney's California Adventure with a ride on Monster's Inc, Mike and Sulley to the Rescue. The photo op we didn't get was that Paul and I were wearing our "Googly Bear" and "Schmopsie Poo" tees on this ride. We walked through some of the stores and I wanted to visit more, but alas the other in our party wanted to go back over to Disneyland for some more Fantasyland slow rides. So after a nice lunch at Earl of Sandwich Tavern, we headed on the Monorail over to Tomorrowland to finish out the day with slow rides, a Mickey Premium Bar, and Dole whip.

There was so much more I wanted to do, but time was limited. All and all it was a great two days to spend in Disneyland, so I hope that we get to do this again to take see all the other places we didn't see.

After our day in the parks we headed to our final hotel for this stay before heading out the next day to LAX back home.

Day 4: DISNEYLAND!

Sorry friends, we had to take a short break after coming home to recover from the fun...here is the rest of my days in California.

Now, I have been to Disneyland before, but it has been several years. One of the best things about this trip is that my son Ben could share in this excitement. So after we parked and got through security, we took a tram to Downtown Disney and made the shore trek to the "gates" of Disneyland.

It was gorgeously themed for the holidays, my little Disney heart was happy. The first thing we did after walking through Main Street U.S.A was head towards Haunted Mansion. Now this Haunted Mansion ride is similar to the Haunted Mansion ride in Walt Disney World, save for the awesome Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. Walt Disney World does not do this, sadly.

This trip to Disneyland was a bit of a last hurrah for part of our travel party who have not been featured in the photos. So we spent a lot of our time riding their favorite rides and enjoying the slower rides. It was still a bit of a whirlwind and I do not feel that two days in the park could cover seeing all of Disneyland and California Adventures, so I guess we will just have to go back in a couple of years...
