Carbon Monoxide Dangers ‼️

Apologies for the less-than-fun post this morning, but please consider purchasing a small, portable carbon monoxide detector from your local store or Amazon to keep with your travel items.

I’m sure you have seen the news where a teenager vacationing in Costa Rica unfortunately passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning. While this can happen anywhere, and I hope you all have carbon monoxide detectors in your home, there have been several instances ver the past few years where travelers have experienced carbon monoxide poisoning while on vacation.

My family started traveling with a portable carbon monoxide device after a couple passed away at a resort in the Bahamas, and for my clients, all of my packing lists include the recommendation of packing a carbon monoxide detector.

My daughter and I started collecting Pandora charms from the various special destinations we visit. On this trip, we each selected a charm that was unique to the location to add to our bracelets. You’ve heard me say time and time again that Rome is one of my absolute favorite cities to visit in Europe, and this is why.

Strolling the beautiful uneven streets and you’re looking at shops and you’re dining on delicious Italian cuisine and then you stumble upon a town square and look up and just see history smacking you in the face.

It’s impossible to miss and it’s something so unreal that you have to be there to see it in person. Books and videos do not do it justice. It’s just breathtaking.

I LOVE working with the Edwards family! I’ve planned several Walt Disney World adventures (including an incredible vow renewal!), Disneyland, and Aulani for them, and now we have added Disney Cruise Line to the list of fantastic vacations for this sweet family of 5!

Big brother helping out!

When traveling in congested areas, always be aware of your luggage, backpacks, and purses!

We have the kids wear their backpacks on their chests.

If you like a Crossbody bag, make sure to cross it in the front and walk with your arm over it or depending on the bag sometimes I will flip mine around, so the zipper is harder to reach.

There are also some travelers that will actually carabiner their two main zippers together to make it more difficult for thieves to open their bags.

When dining in a restaurant with a Crossbody, I typically will wear it and then put my napkin over my bag so that way my purse is not sitting in a separate seat or on the table, easy to grab.

No matter your travel style please always just be aware of your surroundings and keep traveling!

Bucket list item ✅

Sipping champagne on Main Street while staring at the incredible castle is 🤩.

I had been following closely to see if the special champagne cart was back on Main Street and I was really sad when we did not find it yesterday but lo and behold it was in its spot today!

One thing I always advise my clients amidst the hustle and bustle of Disney is to press pause, have a snack, sit down and really take in where you are.

It’s truly magical. 🏰
