SANTA CLARITA, Calif., (August 1, 2021) –Majestic Princess returned to Seattle today, concluding its sailing to Alaska and marking the first successful United States voyage for Princess Cruises following the extended pause in operations. The ship became the line’s first ship to return to service, kicking off the partial season of Alaska sailings departing through September 26, 2021. The round-trip, seven-day cruise visited Glacier Bay National Park, Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan.

In addition to visiting signature ports, glaciers, and attractions, guests onboard Majestic Princess this summer will enjoy authentic Alaska-themed activities offered throughout the award-winning “North to Alaska” program that brings together local personalities, culture, and Alaska seafood to immerse guests in the history and traditions of The Last Frontier. Signature specialty dining, Movies Under the Stars, production shows, and Discovery@SEA programs are also available—from original musicals, magic shows, feature films, top comedians, and original game shows, guests will be entertained while onboard Majestic Princess.

“Welcome back to Princess, is what I said to our guests while I was cruising with them onboard Majestic Princess for our first Return to Alaska cruise,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president. “From the very beginning, Alaska has been at the core of Princess Cruises and has really helped shape the very essence of who we are today. While visiting ports of call, I personally expressed my gratitude to our port partners and elected officials who were instrumental in our return and joined me in warmly welcoming guests to their picturesque communities.”

This fall, Princess Cruises will begin sailing from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Ft. Lauderdale. Starting between September 25 and November 28, 2021, cruises onboard eight Princess MedallionClass™ ships will once again take guests to the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico, Hawaii, and the California Coast.

Princess cruises sailings through 2021 are available for guests who have received their final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the cruise and have proof of vaccination. Crew vaccinations will be in accordance with CDC guidelines.

A significant part of the guest services experience includes the cruise line’s effortless and personalized Princess MedallionClass vacation.

Exciting times for cruisers.

Costa Cruises
Dear Travel Partners,

We’re delighted to announce that, after a period of suspension lasting almost five months, the Costa Cruises fleet is preparing for the gradual and responsible resumption of operations starting September 6 with Costa Deliziosa departing from Trieste and on September 19 with Costa Diadema sailing from Genoa. This will be a very important time for all of us.

In the last few weeks, we’ve been working intensively together with public bodies, institutions, and scientific committees to define the best health protocols and guarantee that your customers enjoy the best possible holiday experience.

We’re restarting cruise ship operations in what is still a delicate period, where concerns about the global health situation remain serious. This is why we’ve determined that the restoration of our services should be gradual using a precautionary approach, with continuous monitoring of developments and of new medical knowledge as the basis for informed decisions guaranteeing the maximum safety of our guests, crew members, and the communities our ships will be visiting.

We’ll be resuming in September with Italian cruises, only for Italian guests and calling at Italian ports, but the idea is to work towards extending our itineraries so as to also include guests of other nationalities in the coming weeks.

The passion and professionalism that you’ve always shown when selling our products are vital elements defining our relationship. We’ll need to work hard together to reassure our guests that a cruise is a safe type of package holiday providing memorable experiences both onboard and shoreside. In the last few weeks, we’ve been working ceaselessly so as to supply you with suitable content and tools to support our restart. As always, we’ll be only too pleased to collect your valuable feedback, suggestions, and experiences so that we can work together even better.

We hope that Costa’s resumption of cruising will be seen as an important sign of confidence in the future. We’re in no doubt that by restarting our operations and with your essential support we can reactivate that process of value creation enabling your travel agencies, our suppliers (however big or small they may be), commercial partners, and the local economy to overcome the difficulties endured over the last few months when cruises came to a full stop.

The restart will be gradual and we’re well aware that it’ll take time to return to normality but we know we can count on your collaboration and on the relationship of trust we’ve always had with you.

Therefore, I’d like to express my sincere thanks for your support also at this very difficult time.

Together we’ll come back stronger than ever, ready to set out together on our new route to the future.

For the most up-to-date restrictions, please visit here.

UPDATE – MAY 13, 2020: Disney Cruise Line suspends sailings through July 28

Disney Cruise Line is reaching out to your clients who were originally booked on departures through July 28, 2020, to advise that these sailings have been cancelled.

In light of this cancellation, Disney Cruise Line is offering your clients who have paid in full the choice of a 125% future cruise credit to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date, or a full refund. The credit has been automatically added to their account. You may place a reservation on hold for your clients by applying it as a payment option when booking a new reservation on the Disney Travel Agents website.

For clients who have not paid in full, Disney Cruise Line will be automatically refunding any payment made toward their booking. This refund will be processed back to the original form of payment, but may be delayed due to the high volume.

The cancellation of the two Disney Magic sailings and three Disney Wonder sailings include Adventures by Disney Cruise Packages booked in conjunction with these cruises. Guests on these sailings will be notified by SeaMail of the cruise cancellation and will automatically receive a refund for all components, including the Adventures by Disney Cruise Package. There is no action needed on their part, as we are advising in the SeaMail that the Adventures by Disney component has been cancelled and will be included in their refund.

Local Travel Agent Becomes Cruise Expert by Earning Prestigious Top Rank in
Princess Cruises Academy

Richmond Hts, Ohio, (05/1/2020) – A [Richmond Heights] travel agent has achieved prestigious Commodore status in Princess Cruises’ Academy training program, certifying him as an expert cruise professional. As a Commodore, Marrion Demore of Sunny Days Vacations joins an exclusive group of travel agents who are now recognized by Princess at the Academy's highest level for their unique qualifications and knowledge as a cruise planning professional. Marrion Demore earned this distinction after completing the minimum
25 courses necessary to graduate from the program.

“We at Princess are very proud of Marrion Demore’s dedication, as he put in extra effort to offer clients exceptional knowledge regarding our cruise vacation product as well as our worldwide destinations,” said Jan Swartz, Senior Vice President of Customer Service and Sales at Princess. “Travel agents who reach this top level in our Academy program have completed hours of course work to become a cruising expert, which will prove invaluable to providing clients with a great vacation.”
Princess Academy is the cruise industry’s most comprehensive online training program available to travel agents in the U.S. and Canada. Agents who complete the extensive coursework become experts on a wide range of topics, offering travelers full knowledge of important details about a Princess vacation such as the different passenger amenities on the line’s 17 ships, the company’s worldwide destinations and the many special programs available onboard.

“I'm thrilled to be a Princess Commodore and expand my expertise about cruising. The knowledge I've gained makes me a more valuable resource for my clients, and enables me to recommend the very best vacation which matches all of their needs,” said Marrion Demore.

To become a Commodore, travel agents must fulfill 25 required and elective classes, representing approximately 15 hours of total course work covering worldwide destinations, onboard programs, and customer service skills. As they complete courses, agents receive their “stripes” through four levels: First Officer, Staff Captain, Captain and finally Commodore. Agents can continue to take elective courses to expand their knowledge and keep their Commodore status current.

Let me be your travel agent for your vacation enjoyment and pleasure.
