✨✈️ REAL ID: What You Need to Know Before You Fly ✈️✨
Heads up, jetsetters — starting May 7, 2025, your everyday driver’s license might not get you through airport security anymore. 😬
To fly within the U.S., you’ll need a REAL ID-compliant license — the one with the little ⭐️ in the corner. No star? No fly.
Here’s what to know:
✅ REAL ID = Enhanced Driver’s License
✅ Required for all domestic flights
✅ Available at your state’s DMV
✅ Bring your birth certificate or passport, SSN proof & 2 proofs of address
✅ Already have a passport? You’re set!
💡My advice: Don’t wait until the week before your trip. Upgrade early and fly easy.
Still unsure if you have one? Flip over your license and check that corner for a star — if it’s missing, it’s time for a DMV date. 🌟

Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I've posted and it's time for me to wake this page up because I'M BACK and I am so ready to help plan your dream getaways! But first, a little back story...

I LOVE this job. I've always loved traveling and as long as we are on the water, I am in my happy place! Helping others to plan out their perfect vacation so that they can relax, recharge, and explore has been my passion and I can't tell you how much it means to me that over the last 9 years, so many of you have trusted me to help you with your travel planning. Then came 2020. This year was difficult for all. But as a people pleaser by nature, it was especially difficult to undo all the planning that we did together before everything stopped. It was like having to be the bearer of bad news, over and over again. And, although I don't do this only for the income, if people don't travel, there is no income. So needless to say, there was really not much that was pushing me to keep going with my travel business. I needed a break. And I took that time to step back and figure out what I wanted to do next.

In the end, I just really loved getting to share my passion for travel with others while getting to meet and reconnect with so many amazing people. I decided to "reinvent" myself in the travel business though. I used to focus so much of my time on Disney, while taking requests for all over the world. It's hard to say you specialize in something when you really dabble in everything. I knew that if I wanted to "specialize" in what I loved most, I needed to put in the time where I wanted to concentrate on. Around this time, someone that I respected in the travel industry that has mentored me over the years decided to open up her own luxury boutique agency that focuses on personalized, first class service and relationships.

Well, long story, short (not really- ha!)- I am finally announcing that I am a travel consultant with Travel with Awestruck specializing in island and beach vacations! I'm excited to plan with you and have many referrals if you are looking for a destination outside of my genre! My goal is to make this page your "go to" for coming to get travel inspiration as well as pictures and videos to give first hand accounts on destinations and resorts to add to your bucket list! Hi everyone! I hope this post finds you and your families healthy and well! I haven't posted in awhile because truly I just didn't know what to say. This spring and then summer became a nightmare for travelers and by default, travel planners! We rung in the New Year in Mexico this year and I remember talking about how excited for 2020 we were! Lots of awesome travel plans made for our family and many of yours as well. And then sometime after that, it was like we were living a nightmare. Don't get me wrong, we have found MANY silver linings in this odd year! We've reconnected more as a family as our calendar is often empty so we have more time for real sit down family dinners, game nights, and family movies. BUT when you have Wanderlust in your soul, this is hard! ;-) I have faith that 2021 will be EPIC though and based on some of the trips I've been planning for families for next year, I'm not the only one that is thinking that way! I feel like people are booking bucket list trips for 2021 and that is making my job so much fun! Right now, my most popular destination for 2021 is Turks and Caicos which is AMAZING!!! Where will you go on your first trip after COVID???

Where do I even start??? It has been on my mind and in my heart to post on my page for days now, but finding the right words and a quiet moment to figure out what to say has been a challenge. In my past "life", I worked as a RN in the ICU so while this pandemic has devastated my current travel business, it also weighs heavy on my heart as I see what is unfolding on the front lines in the hospitals with many of my friends effected. Every trip that I plan, I truly try my hardest to make the experience from start to finish the best it could possibly be. I work tirelessly behind the scenes contacting resorts to insure that requests are well communicated and to make sure that my clients are well cared for while traveling to checking in on the smallest details to insure smooth travel. This is important to me because I truly care about my clients and will do anything I can to make sure that their experience is nothing but the best. Now cue COVID 19...this was something we had never experienced before and I pray we never will experience again. The type A planner in me has been just devastated as I try to roll with the punches while having to reach out almost daily to help people cancel or reschedule their bucket list trips, honeymoons, family vacations that have been saved for forever, and so on... this has been hard. I don't like disappointing people and even though this is not anything I control, it doesn't make it any easier. We've had to learn and relearn every tour operators' policy changes almost daily as they are also getting hit so hard and trying to adjust on the fly. But we are making it work and seeing the good in each other as we work as a team to try to get through this hard time. I so appreciate the support and patience I've received as I work through each trip that we so thoughtfully planned and now have to painstakingly cancel or delay. Even through the disappointment that I've felt and I know my clients feel, I haven't lost sight of the big picture though. I know that trips can be rebooked and these memories can be postponed. What is really important right now is uniting as a country (and actually throughout the world) to support our health care workers by staying home and social distancing. This is not a lot to ask when you consider what these people are gearing up to deal with when they are going in to work each day. My heart is with my old coworkers and the many others that put on a brave face and are going to war against something we've never dealt with before. Please pray for their safety and the safety of our country as a whole. We will come out on the other side stronger and when we do, I can't wait to help you celebrate by planning that next amazing getaway! Take care, stay healthy, and wash your hands! :-)

Today was the Grand Opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! This is the first ride-through attraction in Disney history starring Mickey and Minnie. With a little Disney magic, you are taken through the movie screen and into the “Mickey Mouse” cartoon world, where “mouse rules apply” and anything can – and does! – happen. Engineer Goofy invites you aboard Runnamuck Railroad to join Mickey and Minnie on their search for the perfect picnic spot in Runnamuck Park.

This is a tier 1 fast pass so would be an option with Slinky Dog Dash, and Smuggler's Run! Hard choices!!! :-)
