Rounded out my day in Braxton County with a trip to 💎🔮

I had the most WONDERFUL reiki session with Heather who helped get me right after a few really stressful weeks at work. She gave me suggestions after for how to gradually release that negative energy which was so helpful 🥹

And of course I had to snag a few crystals to bein some of this shops wonderful energy home with me. If you’re visiting Sutton, Crystal Hippie is 100% worth a stop!

While you’re exploring paranormal Braxton County, be sure to stop into The Spot and The Braxton Bistro for a snack or meal!

📍The Spot is an exterestrial themed snack shack in Flatwoods. They offer a variety of burgers, wings, salads, sandwiches and ice cream treats! I had to get “The Flatwoods:” one of their UFO Signature Saucer Sandwiches. Followed up by a flavor burst ice cream cone!

📍The BrAXton Bistro is located on Main Street in Sutton, right between the and . The restaurant offers some yummy bar food and pasta dishes alongside arcade games and axe throwing experience!

Who doesn’t love a good scavenger hunt with a prize at the end?! 🗺️🔎

While visiting Braxton County last year I went on the hunt to find all five of the Flatwoods Monster chairs. This fun little challenge starts at the monster museum where they give you a map of all of the chair locations.

Most were easy to find, except for the last pic where i made a wrong turn and wound up off road in my corolla on the side of a whole ass mountain for a solid half hour 🤦🏼‍♀️ but that was a personal problem, not on the county’s fault lol 😂

Once I snapped a pic in each of the chairs, I headed back to the museum to pick up my special Braxxie sticker for completing the challenge!

This was such a fun way to spend the afternoon and to get to know Braxxie and the county more!

Not only does this museum hold original newspaper clippings, eyewitness accounts, and historical documents from the eerie 1952 sighting, but it also doubles as the Braxton County Visitors Center. From unique artwork to Braxxie merchandise, this place has everything for fans of the paranormal. If you’re into legends and lore, this is a must-visit spot on your spooky travels! 🕯️🛸

If you’re into cryptids, visiting Braxton Country in WV is an absolute must! Aside from the famed Flatwoods Monster, the county has also had a decent amount of Bigfoot activity as well.

This museum tells the stories of all of those sightings, the people who’ve reported them and of course some general info about the big guy.

I had such a wonderful and relaxing night stay at the e ! This historic estate turned lodge and cafe is the perfect place to stay for anyone coming in to explore Braxton County.

I stayed in the Meadow Room (primarily because it’s purple 😂) but the cozy king size bed and full bath with a claw foot tub didn’t hurt either 💁🏼‍♀️

For anyone looking to have a more outdoorsy experience they also offer glamping domes and a fire pit!

The hotel also serves daily breakfast for guests and a cafe opens in the evening for dinner service. 10/10 would recommend this place!

I had such a wonderful stay at the in Sutton, WV. My room was so beautiful and comforting. I brought my own lil spa basket to level up on my relaxation and i think I’ll be doing this most of the times i travel now 😂

As a recovering addict, this shirt was screaming my name. Had to take home some merch after meeting the infamous Co***ne Bear.

We spent more time in than I’d like to admit 😂 their cheeky souvenirs were right up my alley. Check out my last reel to see more of what they offer!

No trip to Kentucky is complete without some fried chicken… so after the fun mall we made a stop at Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken before we hit the road back to Ohio.

A whole convention about Cryptids? 😯

I was like a kid in a candy story y’all. So much so I got too excited and forgot to take any other pictures 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had so much fun looking through all of the amazing vendors and the little monster treasures they create. I came home with art prints, tshirts, stuffies, bath bombs, books, figurines, you name it 😂

I think my favorite part about CryptidCon tho was connecting with so much of the Midwest cryptid community. It’s not often I get to talk to people who love these lil creatures as much as I do 🥹

✨Fun fact✨ this trip to Kentucky was initially planned as an excuse for us to go to again 😂

and i discovered Buc-ees last year on our way down to Alabama and we were immediately obsessed. We stopped on the way back home too lol being from Ohio and Michigan respectfully, we found out the closest one to us was in Kentucky. And thus, our KY oddventure was devised 🦫🤗

📍Somerset, Kentucky: One small town two AMAZING paranormal museums 👻🤗

The Paranormal Roadtrippers Nightmare Gallery by had so much to learn and see we coulda spent hours in there! As a graphic designer, I nerded out so hard over all of the cool graphics he has displayed throughout the galley. Makes it so much easier to learn and understand what I’m looking at! Especially loved the posters on Kentucky local legends. I took home three of his books too for a little extra reading at home. 🔍🧠

Special shout out to Zach and his parents! He was at cryptid con that weekend and they came open up the gallery for us 🥹 thank you for helping to making our trip awesome!!

We also checked out the and surprise, I’m a clown over there too 😂 felt the need to pose like all the figures in the cryptid room, which was by far my favorite part of the museum. I also loved all of the miniature recreations of haunted homes with the accompanying details of the horrors that made them haunted. Check out my previous reel to see for yourself!

Highly allergic to cats but cannot resist 🐈🐾💕

Due to my psycho trip planning, we didn’t have too much time to spend in Cave City but still got to see and do a lot! Next time I’ll be allotting a whole day or two to explore!

After our tour at Mammoth Cave we popped into and it was a crystal lovers DREAM. Plus we got to meet Big Mo in the gift shop.

Then we made our way down to which I will definitely be planning a trip back to during Spooky Season to see the place come alive. The amount of detail that has gone into this property is wild! We made a new lil feline friend while shopping in Legendary Collectibles before I tried my first VR rollercoaster over at Realms of Reality. Check out my previous reel to see how that went 😬😂

Exploring the depths of Mammoth Cave on our guided tour! 🦇✨

Mammoth Cave National Park is the world’s longest cave system with over 400 miles of mapped passages. We did the Domes and Dripstones guided ranger tour that took us several hundred feet underground through limestone formations, underground waterfalls and finished with the frozen Niagara.

Did you know that these caves also hide eerie legends? Although Hopkinsville is the town mostly associated with the Kentucky Goblins, tales of strange encounters in the cave system date back to the 1950s. 🕳️🔦

If you’re looking for a unique lodging experience in Bardstown, the Jailers Inn Bed and Breakfast is the move! The Old Nelson County Jail operated for nearly 200 years before closing in 1987 which made it the oldest operating jail complex in Kentucky. Aside from all of the spooky tales, it’s also listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

There are tons of local restaurants within walking distance. And for those who wish to take in the liquor culture of Kentucky, the Inn is also just a few blocks from a bourbon history museum.. and of course several bars to taste yourself.

The owners are so friendly, thoughtful and accommodating and are sure to make your stay memorable!

Spooky Spa Night: Lavender Dreams 🪻☁️This was my first themed spa night basket I put together and I think I may have found my new obsession 🤗 My favorite color is purple so i wanted to start there! This basket was based around the Gothic Dreams scent from Underworld Connection: purple and grey products in an amazing smelling dark musk and vanilla scent. 10/10 recommend!
