Find someone who looks at you the way I look at the Pope Lick monster 🐐🖤

The Pope Lick Monster, also known as Goatman, is a cryptid said to inhabit the area around the Pope Lick Creek in Louisville, Kentucky. According to local legend, the Pope Lick Monster lures victims to their doom on the trestle bridge above the creek, using either hypnosis or voice mimicry.

We stopped into to see the big man himself and try our hand at the Circus Train escape room. Our goal was to save baby Goatman from the circus car he was kept in to break the curse of the monster and we did it! 🤗

I definitely want to go back to the Legend at Pope Lick adventure outpost someday (especially around Halloween or during the Goatman festival 👀🐐) to experience more of their activities like their outdoor puzzle hunts and driving adventures!

What goblin doesn’t like a nice treat? 🍨🧁🍕😈

Point Pleasant had all the Mothy treats my lil heart desired 🤗

I got myself a Mothman Milkshake at and it was SO yummy. They also have plenty of other cryptid themed treats plus their Moth Bowls of scooped ice cream.

The Coffee Grinder, home of the Mothman cookie, is perfect place to stop for a cup of coffee, soup, sandwich or salad.

Stop into Village Pizza Inn for a Mothman pie topped with mushrooms, pepperoni, peppers and tomatoes that outline the flying fellas shape.

If you’re in search of Mothman in Point Pleasant, exploring the TNT area is a must. 🧨

The area of one of the Mothman sightings became famously known as the ‘TNT area’ due to the storage of explosives during WWII. Over 8,000 acres were devoted to an ammunition manufacturing facility that employed thousands. For safety, explosives were stored in bunkers — or igloos — cleverly disguised by thick layers of earth.

The site remains shrouded in mystery, with strange occurrences and government activities reported over the years. If you’re in Point Pleasant on a Saturday, the Mothman Museum Bus Tour will take you to the TNT area. Other days you’ll have to explore on your own.👁️🔍

Point Pleasant, West Virginia

Today was Mothman daaaaay! I was so stoked to explore Point Pleasant today I barely slept last night... or maybe it was because the spirits of the Lowe Hotel kept me up? Who knows lol but I had a full day ahead of me! There was a classic car show going on so I started my day walking up and down Main Street checking out all of the awesome vehicles that entered the contest. But then it was time to begin my Mothman explorations.

For those of you who don’t know, Mothman is a legendary creature reportedly sighted in West Virginia, in the 1960s. Described as a winged humanoid with glowing red eyes, Mothman is often associated with paranormal activity and forewarnings of impending disasters. He’s also one of my favorite cryptids!

During my day in Point Pleasant I went on the Mothman TNT site bus tour, visited the Mothman museum, grabbed a Mothy milkshake at “What’s the Scoop” and did a bit of shopping throughout all of the awesome storefronts on Main Street. I learned so much about Mothman as a cryptid, his legend, the history of Point Pleasant and the community surrounding it. And of course, bought my fair share of Mothman souvenirs.

Keep it locked to learn more about all of these high points of my Mothman day!

A lil bit about me since mine will be the main mug you’ll be seeing on this account so we ought to get to know each other!

My name is Maureen, Mo or Mo Mo for short. I’m a 32-year-old millennial who’s lived around the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio my whole life. I’m an Ohio stan, I plan to call the Cleveland area my home for the foreseeable future. Which I know may sound weird to people who don’t live in Ohio or the midwest and thing this state is nothing but a boring wasteland of corn... BUT I thoughouly enjoy living here. Four seasons, no massive natural disasters, giant reptiles or swamp ass fu**in humidity? Yes please thank youuuuu. Plus the spooky community of the Cleveland area runs pretty deep and I love that for us.

I’m a designer by trade. I kinda have the coolest job in the world (although I may be biased) lol I create designs for rave and music festival fashion. Which leads me to another huge part of my life: the rave scene. I’ve been balls deep in the EDM community since 2011 when I went to my first rave in a sweaty basement in college my freshman year and immediately fell in love with the music. I’ve traveled to music festivals all over the country and have made so many amazing friends along the way.

I’m a recovering addict/alcoholic and have been clean since 2014. So this makes the way I do things a leeettle different from the rest of the world but not too much! I still enjoy concerts, nightlife, some bars and restaurants (LOVE me a good mocktail) all the same; I just don’t wreck my life or the lives of those around me anymore when I do it LOL trust me, it’s the best move for everyone involved.

When it comes to my personality; best way I can describe myself is that I am A LOT. I’m unapologetically me after years of trying to suppress myself to please others. Nu uh, never doing that s**t again. I won’t expand any more on this cause it will become glaringly apparent to you if you follow this page, or if you already know me.... you know

That about does it! Feel free to drop a comment if you wanna know more!

So you’ve landed yourself here at the home of the Oddventure Goblin… but what the heck is all this page about?

It’s basically just one weird gal, 🧌 goblining 🧌 around the country (hopefully the world someday) taking in all the sights and seeking out the strange. Oddventures are anything from a 10-day long trip across the country to a weekend-long trip closer to home to attending a convention to having a game night.

I decided to start this account to share all of my little explorations with the rest of the world and to hopefully meet some fellow oddballs along the way.

I’m not traveling all the time so when I’m not I’ll still be sharing weird tings with you all! Maybe some cool crafts or games, documentaries or books I find interesting, fun outfits or just an overly animated rant from yours truly. But I promise it’ll always be interesting... or a good laugh.

So strap in and follow along yall! Thanks for joining me on my oddventures and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us 🤗
