Terms:
KA (Karate Athlete/Competitor)
Pool System:
1) will have no less than three KA and no more than five KA
2) KA will be matched against every competitor in the Pool (win/lose/or draw)
3) the two with the most wins/points will qualify for the Medal Round and Awards
Medal Rounds:
1) KA qualifiers will compete for Division Championship
2) matches are “winner remain” brackets
Why
“Fighting Divisions” only? We recognize that Forms/Kata is an integral part of Martial Arts Training, HOWEVER, Forms/Kata are preparation for what Martial Arts is for…To Fight. Champions are recognized as the “best in division” for the day. But, the greatest benefit is all competitor will be able to assess their own skills, experience and learn other techniques, and meet some of the best Karate Athletes in the country.
