Concrete pavers, porcelain pavers, Over the years, more than 30 years, I have installed thousands and thousands of paver driveways, paver patios and so on. My construction career starts as as a construction labor at 18. I quickly become a skilled mason- I mastered installing foundations, pouring concrete in every form and shape, building steps, walls, and really know every single skill tied with building a house from the ground up. I love it. I did it all. Yet, I become known as the paver guy because when pavers become very trendy I was one of the few that began to install them in the Bergen, Hudson, Essex area. After more than 30 years, I drive by those many thousands installation, still in good shape, still holding on nicely. Proud of my work.

It’s strange but I really like the mess before the job gets completed. Construction is a messy job- and
It takes a strategy to implement what’s on paper on the work site. I love the whole process. From the ground up. Measure, excavate, retain, retain, dipose, mix, install. Slope it right, make it level, make it square, make it perfect.

My father and I. Not too many words spoken. Family. His work ethic spoke volumes. He came to this country later in life, could never really learn English well, but worked as a landscaper non stop, no excuses, no easy ways. Time goes by but his voice stays with me and a lot more things make sense. .

Bluestone- it’s volcanic rock. As a sedimentary stone, bluestone is formed in layers deep below the earth’s surface. As bluestone is quarried, the naturally occurring layers make it great for producing wide, flat, patio stones.It is very hard, durable, non slip and looks great. It was the best natural stone to use on this project of renewing An old Montclair estate brought to the 21 century without modifying the true core of the living breathing house. I like to use bluestone because it adds character to a house instantly. Installing bluestone is a very slow process. .

Proud of our work. I worked in many fields before heading to construction, I was a ironing labor in a factory, busboy, waiter in the best restaurants like il Villaggio, Villa Amalfi and many others, I worked as a landscaper, as a bartender. Every where I worked I brought discipline and the willingness to be excellent. My fathers example was my guide. He never missed a day of work, rain, sun or snow. #

When I first started, in 1986, I was not sure construction was going to be my route. But as the years progressed, whether in the hot summer heavy days or in the cold dead of winter, the satisfaction of implementing what was on paper was very rewarding. Every project is different and has different obstacles but when when complete , each brings to the table the same smile, the same pleasure.
