Cafe da Garagem - The Best Cafe in Lisbon

The place is relaxed, well-decorated, and offers comfortable seating perfectly positioned in front of huge windows overlooking the city below. There’s an amazing balcony with tables, too.

The food and drink are excellent and light on the wallet. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere turns out to be cozy and serves best to spend a couple of hours.

It’s located on the same hill, but underneath, the imposing Castelo de Sao Jorge needs to take two long outdoor escalators upwards, meander along a couple of narrow residential lanes, then walk up two big flights of stairs to find the entrance.

And, in the end, all that climbing is worth it to enjoy a perfect combination of atmosphere, comfort, quality food, and less crowd.
