We are still here with our collies! 😍 There’s a chance we will be raising some puppies within the next couple years. Vixie (collie on the left) has joined our farm and she has been such an amazing girl. We got her from Blue Haven Collies and are so happy with her! Cowboy and Willow are still here with us, although if we found the absolutely perfect retirement home for Willow we would consider letting her go. If you would be interested in her send me a message. I am going to be very picky 😉.

Long time no update! Here’s Cowboy and Willow! They got a MUCH needed grooming today. I let their coats get out of hand 😩and it was a big day for both of them getting deshedded and trimmed up. I’m so thankful for a good groomer! I think they are pleased with their coats now too. A small part of me is missing raising these lovely creatures. I hope you are all doing well. 💕

Willow is a grandma again!! And this litter is gorgeous!! 😍😍 I wish I was closer so I could snuggle these babies! Go check out Blue Haven if you are looking for a puppy. They are incredible breeders and they go above and beyond with their puppies!

I have made the hard decision to stop raising collies. I am realizing that I am needing to cut back in big ways and simplify my life to make room for what matters most...my family. I have been raising dogs since grade school pretty much, so it feels weird. But I also feel very at peace with my decision. I love this little Happy Tail Acres collie community and the collie breed has been my absolute favorite to raise. What an incredible breed of dog! Thank you for all the love you guys have shown on here. It truly means so much to me. If you are looking for a collie I highly recommend Cook’s Collies and Blue Haven. They have both been in close communication with me during my collie journey and think highly of both of them.

Wow, these collies just keep putting smiles on my face this week! Here’s another Happy Tail Acres Puppy:

And now a dedicated birthday post for this girl. She came into our lives in November when things were pretty dark. She gave us hope that maybe we could get through. She’s goofy, she’s insanely smart, she’s sweet, gentle, patient, and the best cuddler there ever was. She’s a breath of fresh air. We had planned on training her to be Brayden’s service dog, but she had other plans. The things I had planned on teaching her, she already knows. She naturally alerts and responds to seizures, she naturally tries to assist with mobility (we don’t encourage that yet for her safety), and she’s even responded to a panic attack. We’re still working on obedience training, but even that is so easy with her. She has lived up to her name in so many ways. We’ll never be able to express our gratitude enough for what she’s given us. Piece of mind that she’s with Brayden. On top of everything she does, most importantly to him she’s his best friend and his comfort. Happy Birthday gorgeous girl! We love you more than you’ll ever know.

I just got a very heart warming review from a family that just brought their new girl home. I wanted to share. This says so much about the collie breed:

This pup though, wow. Temperament and personality are awesome. Never had a puppy this docile before. And the instincts you can already see are amazing...she followed my 16 m/o around all evening. Bella moved, lucy went with her. She hasn't been on a leash all evening and is perfectly content lying on the porch. Thanks for what I can already tell will be an awesome dog! -Collin

Update: both puppies have found homes!

We have two puppies still available! The people wanting them had life changes and aren’t able to get them now. They both have excellent personalities. 💕 It’s the sable girl on the left in the first picture and this cute tri boy.

Almost all have been chosen from this litter! Just waiting on 3 more deposits. If you were hoping for a puppy from us this year you still have a chance! Willow should hopefully be bred for an August litter. I’ll keep you updated!

Look at these chunkers! We are starting potty training. We have decreased the area they can sleep/play in (so they are less likely to make messes) and put a big pan of bedding pellets in. We’ve been watching them and encouraging them to go in the pellets. So far so good! I’ve always been impressed with how quickly collies pick up on this. We hope to start taking them outside more to play but it has been HOT here lately. I plan on introducing soft puppy food sometime this week. Annie is starting to look more indifferent toward her puppies. 😉She’s still such a good mom and cleans up better than any mom I’ve ever had. But she’s getting to where she’d much rather get in to nurse and then get right back out. I’m really excited for families to start picking their puppies in less than two weeks!
