Sigma Kappa is a national sorority that provides women with the lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual and spiritual development. Maryland's Sigma Kappa Beta Zeta chapter is active both within and outside of the Greek community. The chapter holds many philanthropy events throughout the year, such as Striking out Alzheimer's, and participates in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. The

sisters of Beta Zeta also enjoy many sisterhood events, from ice skating to movie nights, and work together scholastically to rank in the PHA's Top Ten GPAs. Through service, spirit and ritual, Sigma Kappas build strong friendships that last far beyond college. Visit www.marylandpha.com.

Our Story

Sigma Kappa is a national sorority that provides women with the lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual and spiritual development.

Sigma Kappa values personal growth, service, friendship and loyalty. These are all attributes that many of our sisters have seen in their everyday lives.

We have five organizations that we support in a couple different ways: either philanthropically or through service. Our main philanthropy is Alzheimer’s research. We participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s every year, as well as holding two annual events. Our most popular event is Waffle House, which is held every spring semester.

In 2019, Sigma Kappa raised $20,630.96 for our philanthropies!
