Are you Real ID ready?

The U.S. government is enforcing the ๐‘๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐ˆ๐ƒ requirement for air travel starting May 7, 2025 as part of an enhanced security protocol and more streamlined travel experience.

Planning to fly domestically? Your driverโ€™s license or state-issued ID will need to meet the new ๐‘๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐ˆ๐ƒ requirements. If your drivers license doesn't, you could face delays or even be denied entry at airport security checkpoints! You've invested too much in your travel to have this happen to you!

What is a ๐‘๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐ˆ๐ƒ and how do you get yours?

A Real ID is a state-issued identification card or driverโ€™s license that has a star marking in the top right corner. It meets federal security standards and can be used for identification purposes at airport security, federal buildings, and military bases.

๐‚๐ก๐ž๐œ๐ค ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ˆ๐ƒ: Does your current driverโ€™s license or state ID have the star in the top right corner? If not, itโ€™s time to upgrade!

N๐ž๐œ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐œ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ needed when obtaining your new ID card: Youโ€™ll need proof of your identity which can be your current license, your social security card, and proof of your state residence such as mortgage, and/or utility bills that are current. It's best to check your state's DMV website to ensure you have the correct documentation before you go to your local office.
