Let’s talk about Fort Lauderdale!
I have just returned from a week long trip of different areas in Florida and had a wonderful weekend staying in the Hollywood beach area. The Margaritaville Hollywood is a gem if you want a very nice pool area and great beach. It’s on the boardwalk with many restaurants and shopping. It is also across the street from the intercoastal waterways where you could catch a water taxi and head out for a day of stopping at many different areas in FLL including a couple hotels like the Hilton which is the closest to the cruise ports and I would suggest for a pre-night before a cruise; the Doubletree which is a very central location and a happening hotel and then the W.
Unless you need to go outside of FLL, I would pick one of those hotels and just use the waterway taxi and uber to the airport. I have posted a pic of a waterway taxi pamphlet that shows all the stops.

For anyone who is interested in an incredible train adventure though the Canadian Rockies, Rocky Mountaineer has two promotions for this year that can save you a lot of money.

The Hyatt Inclusive Collection is growing more with the addition of Dreams Cap Cana which has just opened. Cap Cana is an area in Punta Cana known for its upscale & luxury resorts, golf courses and shopping complexes. This family all-inclusive is a beauty! It has 10 restaurants and 10 different bars including a swing swim up bar. No reservations are required, and the buffet is gorgeous! The rooms and suites are spacious offering different views throughout the resort. It offers two pool and a pristine beach. It also has two pickleball courts!
We are seeing very good pricing for this resort for this summer, especially on the nonstop charter packages from specific cities. If you would like more information and pricing, let us know!

I thought I would share the two most popular adult only, all inclusive resorts for us this year. It's rare that clients tell us they want to go back, as most want to go see different resorts and destinations but these two are going to get many repeat clients.
#1 - Secrets Blanca Costa Mujeres
#2 - Secrets Tides Punta Cana.
These both opened this past summer and have a very comfortable boho feel to them with beautiful beaches and romantic rooms. I'm also seeing great pricing from the cities that offer the nonstop flight packages to both of these resorts for next summer.

This is why everyone comes to La Romana! There is never seaweed on this beach and you can walk out into the clearest and bluest waters up to your waist for a long time. It’s breathtaking!

This resort has a building across the street from the main resort that is all family suites. They have two and three-bedroom family suites that can fit up to 11 people. They have a couple of pools in the center with a very nice kids pool area but they do not have slides or a waterpark here. The building is all Preferred Club with a lounge, bar, pizzeria and restaurant for breakfast and lunch and the staff has been so nice and eager to make everyone feel at home. They have a path that runs under the street to walk back and forth between the two sections.

I am at Dreams Dominicus La Romana this week and wow is this all inclusive family resort amazing! It’s about an hour from the Punta Cana airport and has one of the best beaches I have seen. They don’t get seaweed over here on this side of the island. All of the buildings with rooms and restaurants and shopping are on each side of the plaza which runs from the lobby to the beach. There are several pools on the way down with a swing bar and the Barefoot Grill along with a swim up bar of course for drink and food options during the day.
This resort prices less than others and offers 2 and 3 bedroom suites for larger families which I’ll post about later on. I have a group of 17 with me and everyone loves it!

Secrets Resorts is opening their first all inclusive resort in St Lucia early next year and it’s going to be incredible! It is located on the stunning Caribbean coast not far from the Castries Markets. There are 355 contemporary suites with sunset views of the mountains and volvanic beaches.
They haven’t released many photos yet but I can see how it will have the same boho type feel as the newer Secrets in Dominican Republic and Cancun, Mexico.
I’m excited about this one as I believe it will be one of the best adult only options on the island.
