I’ve been enjoying the beauty of Margaritaville Island Reserve Resorts in the Dominican Republic for two days. I don’t have enough words to describe how much I LOVE it here but, I’ll give it a shot!

As you know, the Dominican Republic is only a 2.5 hour flight from Fort Lauderdale and is a beautiful island. Margaritaville Island Reserve Resorts is less than 20 minutes from the Punta Cana (PUJ) airport. I’m staying on the adult only (Hammock) side of the resort. I’m fortunate to be here during a low occupancy time and can fully appreciate the beauty and serenity of the resort. Constant rain has dampened some planned activities but, just being here is an absolute pleasure! The property is very well maintained with a casually upscale vibe. Very comfortable and colorful flip flops 🩴 await you in your room upon arrival.

EVERY employee and staff member I’ve encountered has been extremely warm, pleasant and welcoming. Special thanks to Anyerina Martinez for a very thorough site inspection. Her hospitality, enthusiasm and passion were outstanding! I’m looking forward to seeing you again soon Anyerina. 😉

Finally and most importantly, the food is outstanding‼️ I can’t even compliment the chefs enough! Entrees, appetizers, breads, pastries and desserts are delicious! If you’ve ever been to an all-inclusive resort, you know food is often mediocre at best. That is NOT true here. The parent company of Margaritaville Island Reserve resorts, Karisma Hotels has labeled itself as “gourmet inclusive” and believe me, it’s true! Everything I’ve tasted has been a delight to my mouth and the foodie in me. I’m sure there are clothes I brought with me that might be a bit snug when I get home! 😩

I highly recommend this resort for all my clients and travel tribe. When you’re ready to experience it yourself, let me know. I’d be happy to help and make some recommendations. Fins up!

The exit row window seat over the wing (left side) is my favorite spot on every flight. It seems to have magic powers for great sleep. Sometimes I fall asleep before takeoff! 🥱😴😁

I’ve enjoyed my first visit to Cruise Planners Home Office in Coral Springs, FL for a two day training session. It was wonderful to meet Home Office staff, other CP advisors and select vendors in the fast paced two days. We learned, we ate, we laughed and now we’re going home. I am proud to be part of the Cruise Planners family! 💚

It’s been a great week with dear friends and now it’s time to head home. Thank you doesn’t seem sufficient for the love and hospitality from my besties Lena Nesbitt, Regina McKinney and her family! It’s challenging at best to not pick up a few pounds when I visit Little Rock, AR since Regina’s mother makes sure that everything we love is waiting when we arrive! Thank you Mrs. Gladys Banks! 🫶🏽

My visit to Dallas wouldn’t have been complete without some fun and competitive games with my BFF and a visit to Roots Southern Table! Great food Tiffany Derry! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I’m looking forward to a busy holiday weekend at home with family coming to visit. The funny thing is that I always advise my clients to book early flights during a holiday weekend, especially the last holiday of summer. I’m not sure WHY I booked a late afternoon flight today but, I’m praying I get home tonight! I’d hate to miss our 25th wedding anniversary dinner party tomorrow. 🤦🏽‍♀️🙏🏽

In the city park of Budapest, Hungary, a charming artificial lake has been created to complement the romantic Vajdahunyad castle. In summer, you can enjoy the pleasures of the lake, and in winter, you can go skating! Whatever the season, it's a must-see! This is one of the castles I recommend you visit when you're here. Consider extending your stay by a few days, either before or after a river cruise!
