Part of supporting Public Art is understanding that raising awareness can have a real impact.

During our youth event, there was a discussion about Tatanka and how the Sculpture Walk operates—essentially a rental of the artwork unless we raise funds to purchase it—our supporters agreed that even something as simple as sharing a photo can make a difference.

Here’s our beloved Tatanka alongside some of the newest members of our Public Art community. These faces remind us that your support truly matters.

So far, we’ve raised $1,000 toward our $6,800 goal to keep Tatanka here for good. Help preserve this piece of local nostalgia, especially cherished by the youth in our community. Thank you to Columbus Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Trackside District - Downtown Columbus NE, Gehring Construction & Ready Mix Co Inc, Platte County Pheasants Forever, Centro Hispano Comunitario de Nebraska, Central Community College, Kay's Place for Massage Therapy, and those honoring the memory of Pam Kluck for giving our community a chance to enjoy the sculptures we currently have.

Opportunity is knocking…. Christmas work gathering. Friendsmas. Family get together. The date is perfect for hosting a little holiday spirit.

We recently had Friday Dec 20 open up at The Oak Room at The Friedhof. Would any friend groups or office groups that would like to get together on a small scale be interested in signing up to attend? We would like to bring a comedian or one man performer? It would just be a per person price to include dinner and entertainment? Comment if you are interested! I recently put this out on Columbus Word of Mouth, but it was rejected.
