Independence Day schedule for Conover. The Conover Chamber of Commerce will kick off the day’s festivities with the parade at 1:00 pm. Community members Kathy and Lenny Johnson will be honored as the parade Grand Marshal. The day’s celebration continues with a picnic hosted by the Lions Club at Conover Town Park. Enjoy food, refreshments, music, kid games, and dunk tank. New for 2023 will be the Conover Lions Club Co****le Tournament. Tournament registration is from 1pm to 1:45pm. Tournament play starts at 2pm. Check www.conoverlions.com for registration information. Finish the day with the Chain Skimmers Water Ski Show at Lake Pleasant at 7:00 pm. Parade will travel Town Road from Hwy 45 to Hwy K and then east to Town Park. For more parade details contact Chamber of Commerce at 715-479-4928 at www.conover.org. If you are traveling to visit us, Hwy K West out of Conover is closed. The bridge over the Wisconsin River on Hwy K just west of US Hwy 45 in Conover is being replaced. Hwy K West will be closed now through sometime in October. If you’re coming from the south, an alternate route is to take Hwy G west out of Eagle River, north on Boot Lake Rd to East Hunter Lake Rd to East Buckatoban Rd. From the north, the marked detour will be Hwy B west out of Land O Lakes, south on Hwy S to west on Hwy K. Enjoy the scenic backroads!
