Travel Tip Thursday!! Do you experience motion sickness, considering a cruise? Even though cruise ships are large ships and built with stabilizers to help make the sailing as smooth as possible. If you're prone to motion sickness odds are you may experience it on a cruise at some point but that doesn't mean you can never enjoy one or you have to stay at home!

I experience motion sickness and I can say it's totally possible to still have an amazing time and to enjoy your cruise!

My go to's: Non Drowsy Dramamine, Sea Band Acupressure Wristband, wearing a motion sickness patch and enjoying open space. Also consider a room with a view or balcony.🛳️

By taking precautions and having the right items with you your cruise can be smooth sailing!

When is a great time to visit Iceland? Between Sept- March. Or June- Aug for summer activities and warmer weather. For fewer crowds and good weather May and September are both considered good Months. Best time to see Northern Lights?- During winter September - April. Fewer crowds and cheaper rates?- Jan- May.

Did you know that Iceland is a great place to ring in the New Year? It has become internationally famous for it's fun and firework filled New Year's Eve celebrations!Locals hit the snow filled streets and shoot off fireworks for hours on end.Looking for a unique destination to bring in the New Year, consider Iceland and be decked out in your snow outfits and sparkling snow boots. With the biggest celebration taking place in Reykjavik. Also there is a chance to bring in the New Year with the Northern Lights as the backdrop.

Is a room with a balcony worth it on a cruise? To me yes! With a balcony you have a perfect little getaway spot for great views. Enjoy a drink sitting on your balcony in the evening.Watch the sunrise or sunset 🌞 Even though there is so much to do on a cruise to keep you busy and keep you out and about from your room, it is a great spot to go to when you are ready to just chill and unwind a little bit and get away. Its also nice if you experience motion sickness to have an open view. Plus it's nice in the evenings to prop the door open and listen to the ocean! It's your own little private piece of paradise♥️

Aloha! When is the best time to visit the beautiful Hawaii? The best time and most ideal weather, lowest rates and less visitors: April- May with May being the best over all Month. Along with Sept- Oct with Oct having local festivals and activities. Summer is generally the most crowded if considering going during the summer consider going early June. Winter is less crowded. Wet season typically is during Nov- March. Jan may still be a wet month but is an excellent time to go humpback whale watching.Known for its beautiful beaches and actually has some shorelines that have different colored sand.🌸🌺

Disney has so many great things! Did you know that there are some free activities?
- A visit to Disney Springs; with over 100 shops, over 60 dining locations and multiple activities. Yes shopping and dining cost money, but to walk around , park and many options for free activities and for live music throughout the district. Also enjoy the art on the art walk.
-Resort Transportation: All of Disney's transportation is complimentary. whether you are traveling to the parks or traveling around the resorts hotels you can find multiple free options to get you there. Most common: Disney's buses, but you also have a monorail,boat, or skyline.
-Resort Hop: Did you know you can visit any of the resort hotels even if you are not staying there. Explore the different ones and each of their unique offerings. This is especially fun around the holidays when each one is decked out for the holidays.
-Search for Hidden Mickey's: Disney offers many different scavenger hunts, one that is free is the hidden Mickey's. Keep an eye out around the parks, hotels, etc for them or you can also purchase a book all about them.
- Pin trading: Bring your Disney pins to the parks and look out for pin trading spots. Cast members will have a display of available pins that you can trade for.
- Become a Wilderness Explorer at Disney's Animal Kingdom: Earn adventure badges around the park by self guided activities ranging from animal observation to learning wilderness skills. Collect over 25 badges to gain the right to echo the wilderness Explorer Call.
- Movies under the stars: wanting some fun in the evenings that are free? Many of the resorts and hotels offer movies under the stars. See a favorite Disney film and enjoy fun for the whole family.
- They mostly all offer some kind of camp fire where you can roast marshmallows for free and offer a s'mores kit for purchase.
- Club Cool in Epcot: Where if you want a drink but don't want to spend any money! You can try different Coca -Cola products from around the world for Free!
-Concerts at Epcot: If you visit Epcot during any of the festivals the park hosts you can enjoy a free concert.
- Ice Water: Counter service restaurants will give you a free cup of ice water, totally recommend bringing your own water bottle to be filled.
And so much more and fun activities around the Holidays.. Disney's Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs is one to mention!

Disney! Where dreams come true! When is the best time to go? September is a really good month except labor day holiday weekend, everyone is back in school and transitioning away from summer. Mid Jan- Mid Feb and Early Nov are also great times to go. Most people typically do an arrival on Saturday or Sunday, consider doing a Tuesday or Wed travel arrival so it won't be so busy. The highest crowd typically the week before Christmas through the first two weekends in Jan, and around the holidays.

Maldives 💙 Known for it's beautiful beaches, that gorgeous blue water, variety of marine life, amazing resorts that offer beach villas and the famous water villas.Its the smallest country in Asia, located in the Indian Ocean, southwest of Sri Lanka and India. National language is Dhivehi but most people and staff can speak English and other languages.
Best weather: Nov- April outside of Monsoon season.
Off peak season: May to Nov, prices are lower during the off season but weather is less predictable during this time. Traveling around off peak season/ monsoon season consider travel insurance.

Wanting to be on Island Time!? When is the best time to visit the Bahamas or the Caribbean?
Typically during the dry season: Mid Dec- April/ May.The temperature is usually always great during these times as well.This time is also the most traveled time as well. The Islands are a part of the hurricane belt so the Wet Season/ Hurricane Season would be during June- Nov.
When is the cheapest and less traveled? Summer and Fall typically are, keep in mind Hurricane Season during this time and consider travel insurance and if your place of stay has a hurricane policy.

Passport processing times have increased. Routine processing is up to 10-13 weeks. Expedited 7-9 weeks and an extra $60 charge. Keep in mind mailing time frames are not included in these processing time frames. Plan ahead and keep in mind while planning travel.

It's Hurricane Season! With the track of Idalia approaching I thought it would be a good time to discuss Disney's Hurricane Policy.
So what happens if you have a vacation planned for Disney and there is a chance of a Hurricane?
*** Praying for Florida as Idalia makes land fall Wednesday***
-If the National Weather Service announces a Hurricane Warning for the Orlando area within 7 days of your scheduled arrival you have the chance to reschedule or cancel your Disney resort hotel packages and most room only reservations ( booked directly with Disney) without any cancellation or change fee imposed by Disney.
If any dealing with services with a third party supplier dealing with services with your reservation you may be responsible for any non refundable payments as well as cancellation fees and changes. This policy does not affect dining experiences or certain special events.
- If current booking has discounts or special offers and you decide to reschedule it is possible that those discounts may not still be available.
- It is also possible that those original accommodations that were selected may not be available for the new date you are considering. It will depend on what is available during that new time that you are looking at.
As a travel agent I will do my very best to ensure your new date can still make your needs.
- All amounts that have been paid/ previously paid for that booking if you reschedule will go towards the new reservation. ♥️
If you happen to be at Disney when the Hurricane hits, Disney has policies to keep you safe. Disney will consider the strength of the storm. Depending on the severity some of the parks will remain open and close outside rides and some attractions. If the storm is severe enough that Disney decides not to open parks guests can bunker down at their resort or where they think will be their best fit.

As your travel agent I will keep your best needs to heart and ensure your vacation will be and can be the vacation that you need and deserve. Curve balls can happen and that's why it's great to have a travel agent! ❤️

Exciting news for Carnival Cruise Line! They have just announced the name for their new destination in the Bahamas... Celebration Key! The name comes from all that Carnival and Bahamas has to offer and celebrate! It will be located in Grand Bahama, a northern island of the Bahamas. This new destination will offer Bahamian experience, retail , food, beverage, one mile stretch of white sand beach, many features, and amenities. The cruise pier will accommodate two carnival cruise ships at the same time to allow guests to walk straight from boat to Celebration Key!

More details coming in late September along with opening for sale the first of iteniernaries, with the first cruises calling on the destination in July 2025! 🌴🚢🌴
