Fall Foliage Viewing Kayak Tour on Center Hill Lake

It’s Fall, and the beautiful color changes are peaking. What a fantastic opportunity to get out and paddle with family and friends or to socialize and make new friends.

We will take a few groups out to enjoy the beautiful colors and wildlife from the water on Center Hill Lake. Don’t miss out on one of the last guided opportunities of the season to enjoy kayaking.

We plan to launch from Cookeville Boat Dock and paddle around, taking in the colors and enjoying the conversations and company. This adventure will be approximately 4-6 hours on the water.

Items you should bring for this trip include sunscreen, a towel, lunch, snacks, water, a hat to keep the sun off, warm clothes and layers to be comfortable depending on the weather, and shoes you aren’t afraid to potentially get wet.

Limited tickets are available, so book now and secure your spot.
Single and Tandem Kayaks are available. The tours are on Saturday and Sunday, October 26 and 27, and November 2 and 3.

Austin is well known in the reggae music community and has released several studio albums previously with Roots of a Rebellion out of Nashville, TN. What better way to enjoy a river trip than with amazing melodic vibes playing in the background while you float along and enjoy the incredible view from the water?

This 6-mile float is calming and relaxing, getting you away from the more crowded tours. The adventure lasts approximately 4-6 hours on the water.

For this trip, you should bring sunscreen, a towel, lunch, snacks, water, a hat to keep the sun off, and your favorite water sandals.

We had a spectacular trip out to Burgess Falls today with Chuck Black's amazing group of fun people out of Crossville. The weather was perfect as it was a comfortable paddle out with a warm paddle back. We started early and beat the crowds and had the waterfall all to ourselves. Big shout out and thank you to Chuck Black for setting up the trip and for Pete Segers for helping with transportation.

Our Reggae on the Water Float Sunday was nothing short of amazing! We had such an awesome group of folks to enjoy the day with. Playing at the falls was a must and we all swam in the big adult playground and shared smiles and laughs. Big Shout out and thanks to Mike Jordan and Heather as well as Raquel Daugherty Toombs for helping organize the group and for enhancing the fun and good times with bubbles, water guns, and more. And big shout out to Austin Grimm Smith for continuing to serenade all our ears with his amazing voice.

This is the trip you will tell people about for years. It is an incredible trip you do not want to miss.

That’s right! You can kayak right to the bottom of the 136′ waterfall in Burgess Falls State Park.

We will put in on Center Hill Lake, and after about 1.5 miles of paddling, the excitement of the reward at the end of the journey builds as the sound of the falls gets louder and louder.

The trip is out and back, approximately 2 miles in and 2 miles out, for a total of 4 miles. Depending on the time of year and water levels, a short hike may be required to reach the falls.

This is a relaxing and stress-relieving guided kayaking trip. Kayaks, life jackets, and paddles are provided.

Our Reggae on the Water float with Austin Grimm Smith on Sunday 6/9/2024 was spectacular. The weather was threatening the night before but it ended up holding off allowing us to embark on the journey jamming out with one of the best reggae front men Nashville has ever seen. The reggae and folk jams were on point and many of us sang along. We stopped at the falls and even though it was a little chilly outside with cloud cover and a little wind we still had a few brave adventure seekers indulge in the cold water and swim by the falls. We took the journey to Cookeville Boat Dock and Lighthouse Restaurant where we put in and paddled to Fancher Falls and the company couldn't have been any better.
