The Sanctuary at OBX, Corolla (Whalehead) Oceanside 🌊 vacation rental.
Our 6 bedroom, 6.5 bath (3 KMBR, 1 QMBR, 1 twin/full bunk with full bath, and 1 room with 2 twins) has a HUGE 16x32 private pool 💦 new hot tub and tiki hut! Enjoy playing pool 🎱, bring your own video games 🎮 or play some cards🃏in the first floor rec room with a full bathroom and kitchenette. So close to so many activities 🦀 ⛵️🚴 🧘‍♂️ 🪁🏄‍♀️⛳️🎣 but the unique setup of the property and landscape keeps you feeling secluded with no neighbors in sight! We are a short 5 minute walk to beach access (your choice- walk the Trek deck pathway or the paved road)🏖 🐬 ☀️. The Sanctuary is only about 3 miles from the 4x4 access to see Corolla’s horses🐴!

It’s hard to beat Whalehead’s location, with the Food Lion shopping center and TONS of options for shops 🛍, restaurants 🍔 🍺 🍷, and coffee/dessert 🍩 ☕️ 🧋🍦 🍿 within walking distance.

Our youngest daughter and our niece help us to say Congratulations to the SRB family on our annual holiday raffle to thank our repeat guests 🙂 your family won $150 off your stay 🥳 we hope everyone has a Happy New Year and we can’t wait to share the updates to the pool area later this spring ☀️ 🌊

Everyone who’s visited Corolla has most likely taken the time to visit the Currituck Lighthouse which is right down the road from us in Corolla’s historic village, but if you walk around you’ll see some pretty cool and historic sights like the Corolla School house (currently a 1 room multi-age fully functioning school for all of the resident children of Corolla!)

We loved to share a pic of these cuties all posing as one of the last guests of our 2024 season ☀️ 🧡 💜
For those following the OBX weather even when you’re not there 😂 you know that even though this was not a “named storm” it came directly at Corolla with a vengeance and dumped over 15” of rain within hours. The pic is of Lighthouse drive! Thankfully The Sanctuary is on higher ground and escaped unscathed just in time for pool area renovations to start soon!

We met this family back in 2021 when they took a chance on us and wanted to visit The Sanctuary at OBX. They’ve visited us over these last 4 years and it’s awesome to see how much they’ve grown since their first visit (bottom right)! They also know some good eats as La Dolce Vita is also one of our local favs 🍝 🍷! Receiving pics of our guests enjoying their time together like this make it all worth it ☀️ 🌊
