Summer Reds is a splendid 3300 sq ft home with 6 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms that can accommodate up to 14 people. This pet-friendly retreat is nestled in the serene Monteray Shores community near Corolla on the Outer Banks (OBX) of North Carolina.
How is Summer going for everyone?! We head down to the beautiful beach for our family vacation in a few weeks and cannot wait to get our toes back in the sand!
We decided to open up a few Fall weeks 🍁You should see those dates go live tomorrow morning. We are also doing partial stays for the Fall, no weekly requirement. 😎 Fall is absolutely beautiful in Corolla and the pool/hot tub will remain open ! 🏊♂️ $2800/week plus fees/tax

A: Are you ready for the summer heat? By taking a few precautions, you can protect yourself and your family from heat exhaustion and heat stroke when the temperatures creep up.
💧 Stay hydrated! Drink more water than usual and don’t wait until you’re thirsty.
🥵 Those at high risk for heat-related illness (young children, elderly and people with chronic medical conditions) should stay in an air-conditioned environment on days when the temperature exceeds 95 degrees.
⛱ Pace yourself while exercising or playing in hot weather. Be sure to take breaks in the shade.
☀️ Protect your skin using reef-safe sunscreen and reapplying every two hours.
👒 Cover up with a wide-brimmed hat. Wear lightweight and light-colored clothing.
📱 Sign up for beach condition alerts on OBXAlerts.com, which include extreme heat alerts and beach safety tips.
🚫 Do not leave children or pets in parked cars, even if the windows are cracked open.

⚡️Storms form VERY quickly here at the beach! Please be safe and take shelter immediately!
Luckily we have tons of board games, a full size arcade machine, and a foosball table at the house to keep you busy while you wait out storms ♠️🕹️
When lightning roars, go indoors!
Storms can form quickly on the beach, and lightning can strike up to 20 miles from the center of a thunderstorm. If you feel a sudden temperature drop or see rapidly forming storm clouds, seek shelter quickly.
Don’t shelter under canopies on the beach. Lightning strikes on our beach are not uncommon. Go indoors and wait out the storm.
Our favorite local restaurant! Located next to Harris Teeter in Corolla, Off the Wall Tap House has excellent food, drinks and service 🍻🍔
‼️Heads up, there’s often a wait because well… they are amazing. Be patient! Grab some ice cream (it’s vacay after all!) or walk around SuperWings next door if you want to pass some time and grab some souvenirs 🤗

A great option for anyone arriving early to beat traffic before check in! Need any recommendations on where to eat or visit to pass some time? Feel free to ask us 🤗
‼️ Reminder that check in is not until 4PM and sometimes cleaners are running behind. They are hustling to clean multiple homes on tight turnover days so please do not arrive early and rush them.
We also have weekly inspections before check in so early check in is not offered on our home. Be courteous and while they are not required, tips of any size are always appreciated by the cleaners!

Feeling noshy? We participate in Lighthouse Bagels and Deli Cottage Program! Our renters can grab a dozen bagels with 2 tubs of cream cheese, on us! 🥯
