Currituck County Government offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, January 23, 2025. County offices are scheduled to reopen at 10:00 am on Friday, January 24, 2025. Staff will continue to assess local conditions, and any necessary updates will be announced.

Additional closings for January 23 include all trash and recycling convenience centers, transfer station, Currituck Animal Shelter, Currituck Library branches, courts, and the Currituck Health department.

Closing information is being maintained on the Currituck County Government website: www.currituckcountync.gov

**Update—Currituck County Government administrative offices will be closed today… January 22, 2025 due to the winter storm conditions. Additionally, all trash & recycling centers, Currituck animal shelter, Currituck libraries, Currituck health department and the Courts will be closed. For more information please follow Currituck County Emergency Management.
Important Information: Currituck County will be opening at 10:00 am tomorrow (1-22-25) due to the anticipation of inclement weather. Just a reminder that the Corolla Visitor's Center and the museums in Historic Corolla Park are currently closed in order to prepare for the 2025 season. Whalehead in Historic Corolla, Currituck Maritime Museum and the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education will be reopening on February 17th, 2025.
