Our Story
Experience a real piece of history in Council Grove on the evenings of September 14 and 15 beginning at 8:00 P.M. This beautifully presented story depicts the changes affected by two vastly different cultures. As the Kaw Indians were being relocated and European American settlers were beginning to populate Council Grove on the Santa Fe Trail, the dynamics of these two cultures co-existing proved to be intense. Narrated by the characters of Chief Allegewaho and Seth Hays, this compelling performance incorporates photos, music, and live action. Representatives of the Kaw Nation participate as dramatic actors, various characters and provide the chief narration.
Tickets can be purchased online at our website: www.voicesofthewindpeople.com or at the gate on the evening of each performance.
