There are herds of elk 🦌 on the hillside every morning. Wake up and drink coffee ☕️ by the fire 🔥 and watch them graze. This year the snow ❄️ in the valley, that is in front of the cabin, is high. That is where they normally graze all winter. They come down out of the mountains where the snow is much higher. This is a small herd. There is a larger herd that I couldn’t pick up with my camera 📸 . We also have a big fluffy fox 🦊 that makes his/her way into our yard everyday. It makes the same path looking for mice 🐭 . You will ❤️ Colorado and all the clean air, pristine mountain spring water, wildlife, trails, no humidity, low temps, mountains ⛰️ and peace ☮️ and quiet 🤫.The only traffic jams here are the herds of mountain sheep 🐑 that lick the asphalt and graze on the roadside.

We have a large herd of elk out grazing this morning. They have been here for 2 weeks. They come down when the snow is too heavy in the mountains.
They will most likely be here until Spring.

Enjoy the winter sunrise on the porch while drinking your coffee and watching the elk graze in front of the cabin.
Spend the day snowmobiling or skiing. Come back in the afternoon and enjoy hot cocoa and watch the elk graze until dark.

Sunrise just peaking over the mountains here at the cabin. Drinking coffee and sitting by the fireplace while watching this is so peaceful and relaxing.
