Great line up and these were a lot of fun last year! We are located less than a 10 minute drive away so if you are looking for lodging and a beautiful romantic get-away, we have you covered!

The Crestline Community Development Team, the Galion-Crestline Chamber of Commerce, the Village of Crestline, and the Mansfield Federation of Musicians Local 159 are proud to announce that The Ralph Thauvette Summer Concert Series has expanded to 12 FREE concerts this summer in downtown Crestline.

Of the 12 FREE concerts, three of them will coincide with “Second Thursdays in Crestline”, which is sponsored by the Galion-Crestline Chamber of Commerce.

All concerts will be held at the corner of Seltzer and Scott Street. Downtown restaurants will be open and the concerts will take place within the Crestline DORA.

Here is the schedule of concerts. All concerts begin at 7pm.

Love this!

We are bringing back a tradition that we haven't taken part in for a few years. From now through the Shawshank Redemption 30th Anniversary Celebration weekend (August 9th-11th, 2024) we are going to put some pens on Warden Norton's desk every day. They say, "Stolen from the desk of Warden Samuel Norton". Maybe we'll put them out at 11am when we open. Maybe we'll drop by and put some out over lunch. Maybe we'll put them out at 3pm. The point is, you won't know. We won't know either. We'll let whatever tour guide we choose that day put them out whenever they feel like doing it. These aren't for sale. We aren't handing them out upon request. They're just something fun for folks to stumble across while they're here for a tour.

Make sure to check Warden Norton's office in the Shawshank Museum when you come to visit. You might get lucky and be able to grab one of these exclusive pens.

Reminder: You can continue to visit OBS all throughout our time of construction/renovations on the Visitor’s Center. You just need to park at and stop-into the front desk in the Education Center. Below are programs scheduled in that building that will impact parking and noise levels during this week.

Keeper talks are scheduled everyday for Visitors;Tuesday-Saturday at 11 am and on Sunday at 1pm.
