🥇Medal Monday: 1st Marathon Edition 🥇

It’s hard to put into words how truly special the 2025 Walt Disney World Marathon was to me. Not only was it my first-ever full marathon, it was…

🏃‍♀️My first time running a race by myself. I usually run with friends and sorely missed having as my pacer 🥲, but I met so many incredible people before, during, and after the race that I never felt alone— , , , , , , and to name a few!

👏 My first time having a race spectator! It was so special having Jason waiting for me at the finish line for this race. I don’t ever expect people to spectate at my races because, frankly, it can be exhausting. But it meant the world to me to have my husband there for this milestone moment! I also felt every ounce of love from those cheering me on from afar—the texts, voice memos, and encouragement carried me through every mile!

🎢 My first time riding a roller coaster during a race. 10/10 recommend. 😂

✨ My first time running through all 4 Disney parks. The course was pure magic. From running down Main Street U.S.A., to the cheering crowds, live music, character stops, cast members, and everything in between—it was a dream. Every moment felt so exciting that the miles flew by (yes, even 26.2 of them).

I’ll forever be grateful to the community for helping me rediscover my love of running. I’ve never thought of myself as an athlete, but these races have shown me that my mind and body are so much stronger and more capable than I ever imagined. Every mile is magic, and I’m already looking forward to the next race! ✨

Yesterday we arrived at Disney World for Marathon Weekend 2025! I am running my first marathon on Sunday and couldn’t be more excited. 🎉

Jason and I spent the afternoon at the Expo and then went to Magic Kingdom to enjoy the fireworks and take advantage of extended evening hours for Deluxe resort guests. This was a huge perk that allowed us to knock out many of our favorite attractions in a short amount to time…without the need for Multi Pass Lightening Lanes!

Follow along this week as we visit Universal Orlando, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and of course the Walt Disney World Marathon! 🏃‍♀️🥇

📖 Storybook Dining at Artist Point is located at Disney’s stunning Wilderness Lodge. 🛥️ Hop on a scenic boat ride from Magic Kingdom and find yourself transported to the Enchanted Forest!🍽️ In this Prix Fixe character dining experience, you’ll enjoy a 3-course feast complete with your choice of entree and an appetizer and dessert sampler for the entire table to enjoy.🍎 While you dine, Snow White, Grumpy, and Dopey will visit your table for hugs, autographs, and pictures.
