Having my company means a lot but the name means more because the process of creating it was depressing, frustrating, tedious, exhausting, yet delightful. I had great support from my brother Talbert, my sister Talbert, my best friends , and 'Man Heath in bringing everything together. Let me explain….I went thru 20 names during a 3 day process and by name 19 all were taken. I did not want to name it after myself (which was stupid because some of the major companies we know were named after themselves) even as I know I am going to expand/grown my company, but I just did not. So when I got around number 16, I said to myself "Name it after yourself because surely no one has that name," so I said Travel with Trivia or Trivia Travel--I was disappointed and really just done after that (google it and you will see why :).

On a Saturday morning, I said "Lord, I need you to give me something because I am tired" so I laid down, in total silence and my room was dark because I really was mentally and emotionally just depressed by now. All of a sudden, Trip Deluxe came to mind but I wanted to be different so I wrote down TripD-Lux first and said it 3 times and immediately I was in love with it. I then got up to google it and that format was not taken or did not appear anywhere that I searched. I then called my brother, he immediately loved it, so I called my best friend and she immediately loved it. I got thanked God and then got to work.

My daddy used to call me Trip D, as he never really used my first name. I have a poster in my room of his military ship, that he sent to me and my brother when we were kids, with his message to us. He said Trivia D "Trip" and Larry Charles Talbert, Jr--Scooter. After all of that, my company is named after me; which is more special to me because I never thought I would hear TripD again. My middle name starts with D, and I wanted the name to look unique but when said slow, then fast, the name describes the overall service I intend to serve-TripD-Lux (a deluxe trip/vacation experience).

So now you all understand why my love for my company/name/products means so much more. Thank you all for reading my story and learning the origins of TripD-Lux Travel Agency :)
