It's a parent-tot class for ages 18 month to 5 yo. No prior Spanish experience necessary. My name is Kristen Zhang and I moved to Danville in 2016 with my husband and son. Before having my son, I taught elementary and middle school Spanish for 5 years. While I absolutely love staying at home with my son, I do miss teaching. However, I do not miss it enough to go back to work full time. I want to e

xpose as many different languages as possible to my son, and since I speak Spanish, I thought I would start there! What better way to teach my son Spanish, and continue teaching, than by starting a Mommy and Me Spanish group? I hope you will join the fun!

Our Story

My name is Kristen Zhang and I moved to Danville in 2016 with my husband and son. We now have three children! Before having kids, I taught elementary and middle school Spanish for 5 years. While I absolutely love staying at home with my son, I do miss teaching. And I love opening up new worlds to others through language! I’ve really grown to love teaching families basic Spanish. It’s so much fun! I want to expose as many different languages as possible to my children, and since I speak Spanish, I thought I would start there! What better way to teach my son Spanish, and continue teaching, than by starting a Mommy and Me Spanish group? I hope you will join the fun!

What started as face to face classes has switched to online classes via Facebook Live and Zoom during this pandemic. Feel free to go back and start at Unit 1 any time you want.
