Got plans for New Years Day. Well,now you do. The first annual Polar Bear plung will be happening at noon on Jan 1st at Pirate's beach.Follow up gathering afterwards at Pirate's Bar n Grill. Shake/rinse off those 2024 disappointments and donate a canned good or non parishable food item for the food bank on Dauphin Island. Costs nothing to participate. Costumes are encouraged.

As soon as I got to the island today, I unloaded the car, and went looking for this lovely “2nd-time” visitor. He wasn’t where I could see him originally, but then I heard him making a little sound as he bobbed up and down. I got one shot, went to take off a glove, looked back up and he was gone. I came back for another look and did see him peeking at me over a mound of sand.
