I hope you don’t need this advice, but as we anticipate today’s weather, I wanted to share something I recently heard. If you go into your safe space… Make sure you have on shoes! If you come out and you have to walk through rubble, you don’t want to be barefoot or have on flip-flops. Asking Jesus to keep us all safe.

Last summer I got to meet Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, the founder of Vera Bradley. She named her company after her grandmother, Vera. She was charming. (And the only one there that didn't wear pink. LOL!) It was a wonderful luncheon raising money for breast cancer research. She gave us all copies of her book, "A Colorful Way of Living." It is so positive and encouraging - she's a tough cookie with a heart for people.

Who wants to go to the Vera Bradley Annual Sale in Ft. Wayne, IN on Wednesday, May 1? It's the first day of the sale so the best selection. A full day of VIP treatment, lunch and fun. And maybe you will go home with a copy of her book. Wink!
