UPDATE - Wednesday, July 26 @ 3 p.m. - The Pahaquarry Trail (blue dot), Mt. Tammany trail (red dot) and access to Mt. Tammany has reopened.

PARK ADVISORY: Worthington State Forest

Due to increased bear activity, the Pahaquarry Trail (blue dot), Mt. Tammany trail (red dot) and all access to Mount Tammany in Worthington State Forest is closed until further notice.

Hikers should plan their itineraries accordingly. Access to the Appalachian Trail is not impacted at this time.

To report black bear damage and nuisance, call the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection 24-hour, toll-free hotline: 1-877-WARN DEP (1-877-927-6337).
