We are 9 days away from leaving for Italy! Planning this trip for 9 adults and 2 babies has been so much work, but I’m learning for my clients!
Our itinerary looks like:
Venice
with Doges Palace, St Marks, visiting the islands and getting lost in the streets
Florence
with a wine tour, Duomo, many Medici sites (if you’ve seen the Netflix show), trying Florentine steak 🥩
Rome
With the colosseum, Vatican tour, open bus tour
Stop in Pompeii on the way to
Sorrento
With half day boat tour of Capri, limoncello, exploring
Then ending our trip at the Grand Palladium Sicily all inclusive (bc mama be tired) where we’ll venture to Vicari which is where my family is from.
Also have a surprise for my fam on the train ride to Sicily 😬

Go inside to La Cava del Tequilla for a variety of margaritas and tequilas.
Tell the host you’d like a table if you want to get a snack here also. They serve chips and salsa!
One of the bartenders, Fran, is there each and every time we go. He said he’s been there for 18 years!

Definitely get the Ottowa Apple from the popcorn cart.
This time they had a festival drink that was peach flavored. It was actually really good (and cheaper).
I definitely need to explore this pavilion a little more and eat at the restaurant.
They do have a slightly bigger beer selection if you go up into the pavilion next to the shop.

🇬🇧 UK is next!
Absolutely get the fish and chips!
But go inside the pub for drinks. We got the Snake Bite which is a mix of beer and hard cider 🍺 so yummy!

🇫🇷 France may be my favorite pavilion. It’s so hard to choose just one thing to eat here. But if you go all the way back to Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie you cannot go wrong.
This time I got a Jambon Beurre, which is a baguette with ham, cheese, Dijon mustard butter 🥖 and a crème brûlée.
I typically opt for the chocolate mousse.
You can also get wine from here. It’s a smaller pour than the other places around in my opinion.
Next time I’ll attempt to try a crepe from the back of the pavilion by ratatouille 🐀
You also can’t go wrong with anything from L’Artisan des Glaces. I’ve gotten a few things from here. I’ll post in the comments.

🇲🇦 Morocco
At Spice Road table they have a Moroccan Mule, which is what we opted for this time. I heard someone talk about to Pomegranate Mimosa from here, so it’s on my list to try.
At Oasis Sweets and Sips, my usual go to, you can get cheap and tasty pastries and the red sangria.

Absolutely get the sushi combo from Katsura Grill. I ate mine so fast I forgot to get a picture or video. But the secret here is get your drinks from a small little hut, the Garden House, before you walk up the stairs by the koi pond.
They have a flight of these three drinks here. The green one was melon flavored and was the one we liked the best. Orange one was second. And the purple one was Violet Sake. I enjoyed this one.
The guys got hot sake. Video in the comments to see if they enjoyed it or not.

🇮🇹 Italy! Absolutely get the espresso martini from Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. Since the pizza window is nearly never open when we go, you can ask the host for a table and get something to eat from here too! Typically I’ll get something from a festival cart in Italy for a snack. But at the gelato stand at the front of the pavilion they do offer a few snacks that are worth a try.
🇨🇳 China was our second stop. Definitely recommend the egg rolls! You can get these at the Joy of Tea cart or the Lotus Blossom Cafe quick service. Blake claims this is the best quick service in all of Disney. Drink of choice was the Kung fu Punch, also found at the cart. I absolutely do not recommend the Honey Hibiscus Hard Ice Tea. Not one of us in the group liked it.
🥁 drum roll… We started in 🇳🇴 Norway! We were going to start in Mexico but the line for La Cava del Tequila was nearly out the door of the pavilion. My go-tos for Norway are typically the Epelkake and Viking Cofee. This time I opted for the Troll Kreme and School bread. The school bread was not for me. The custard that it’s stuffed with was good, but the main part of it wasn’t my taste. I’ll stick to my Epelkake. Pics in the comments
