. Spending the day making sure all the Summer trips are ready to go.

Have clients in Costa Rica, clients leaving for Greece today and others traveling to Italy, Iceland and Switzerland this Summer!

If you are thinking about a Christmas or Spring break trip, why not start planning now before it is too late? The longer you wait the more costly it becomes. Let me know how I can help.

What country do you want to learn about in February? I have been planning lots of Greece, Italy and other hot spots. Also have been spending lots of time with our suppliers in Africa.

Is there any place you really want to see a sample itinerary? Know about?

Our team returned to Denver last night (just before the snow started) from Havana, Cuba. It was a trip full of incredible tours, tons of questions and beautiful surroundings.

All of our questions made me realize how little I knew about Cuba before traveling there (still only know a tiny fragment) and how many questions/misconceptions there are for so many of us from the USA.

I would love to answer your questions and will be doing so this afternoon on my Instagram- . If you have any questions you want answered, please include them below!

Do you have travel goals for 2023? I turn 40 this year so I am trying to figure out my goals regarding travel/life. I thought 40 new places (including areas nearby that I haven't been) or try 40 new things.

What are your travel goals for 2023?

Let's talk about Icelandic hot springs. Iceland has over 45 natural hot springs. Some are more elaborate like the Blue Lagoon below; which was was created accidentally by the condense discharge from the geothermal power plant in Svartsengi. The water was expected to disappear into the permeable lava field, but sedimentation gradually made the coarse lava field watertight, and the lagoon continued expanding.

Other hot springs are hidden destinations that you have to get off the beaten path for. Giving you a chance to explore and warm up from Iceland's cold temps in the healing waters.

Do you prefer hot springs where a nice beverage, massage and spa are waiting for you when you exit? Or do you prefer to hike through the highlands and experience it all on your own?

Luckily in Iceland you can do both!

Did you know that Iceland has skiing? I attended a conference last week and learned so much about this incredible location.

Iceland has multiple ski resorts and even offers heli-skiing. The best part about skiing in Iceland is that it is close enough that you could be in the mountains in the morning and the ocean in the afternoon followed by viewing the Northern lights in the evening. How cool is that?

Colorado Trivia: What ski resort in Colorado has an agreement with Akuyeri in Iceland where the pass is reciprocal?

- September is going to be all about the land of fire and ice: Iceland! Planning tons of trips there lately and attending an event today hosted by Visit Iceland to learn more about it.

Who has been to Iceland before? Who has it on their list of places to go?

I went in 2018 with some friends and loved it, but the no darkness really messed with my brain! Would love to go back and see the Northern lights.

What questions do you have about visiting Iceland?

- I am officially back from and finally digesting what was possibly one of the best trips I have ever taken.

Croatia seems to be the hot place to be! Split was very busy with tourists (August in Europe is always busy) and they said that the numbers were down from last year from when most of Europe still had restrictions in place.

It is not hard to see why! Between ancient ruins, stunning coastlines and the bluest seas I have ever seen, Croatia is an incredible place for a vacation.

For this trip, we were a part of . 20 of us signed up to spend a week on 2 boats as we sailed the Adriatic sea and stopped to port each night. This is a great way to see the country and experience the water since not all beaches in Croatia are sandy beaches.

Check out a few of the pics from the trip. I will continue to highlight this trip over the rest of the month. Are there any questions that you have about Croatia or our trip in particular?

08/02/2022

: August is going to be all about Croatia! Heading there for the first time on Thursday for Yacht week with 20 of my favorite people and hundreds of new friends!

While the majority of our trip will be spent on a boat, I am excited to get to see Split, Hvar and other small towns along the way. Getting lost in their small streets and discovering hidden gems.

Going to try my best to post here about the trip, but if you want to follow along Instagram will be the best spot, you can find me at tripsandhomesbybecka .

What questions do you have about Croatia?

- Busy travel planning day: putting the finishing touches on a Greece itinerary, planning Hawaii for an anniversary celebration, London & Paris for a family trip, Costa Rica fishing trip and buying all the things on Amazon for my personal trip next week. Where are you going and where can I help you plan?

Remember in May when I said I would be highlighting a new country every month? Oops...my birthday hit and all of a sudden it is July. So let's try this again.

Peru is absolutely one of my favorite destinations I have ever visited. The natural scenery, history and people make for an incredible travel destination. On this first Peru post I wanted to highlight how to get there and the best time of year to travel.

Lima, Peru is the major airport and most Peru trips start here and head to Cusco or Arequipa both in the Southern portion of the country. I think it is a disservice to not explore Lima for at least two nights. The food scene is amazing and it is located on the coast so there is incredible scenery.

9 airports in the US have direct flights to Lima, they include; Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City (JFK), and Newark. So for my Denver people you could make a quick connection to any of these airports.

Now the most important, the best time of year to travel. Winter (May-November) in Peru is actually their driest season and a great time to travel. Summer (November-May) will be warmer but a lot wetter. As with most areas, I recommend a shoulder season (April, October) to get the best weather and fewer crowds.

Heads up! Southwest is having a 30% off sale today for flights to Mexico and Hawaii with the code: Gotropical. Travel for early September to early November. Go get your ticket and let me plan your stay!

Happy Travel Tuesday! Over on the Videre Travel Instagram we are asking for your bucket list EXPERIENCES, not destinations but experiences. For instance, experiencing a Dia de los Mu***os parade in Mexico City, riding a bike through the Italian countryside, swimming with whale sharks, etc. What experiences are on your bucket list?
