We’ll have exciting kite demonstrations by experts, kite-making, and of course the colorful, giant kites floating above our beautiful beach.

All the action takes place at D River State Recreation Site.

SUNDAY 9/24

11:00 am - 11:20 am: Kite Flier Memorial

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm: Mega Fly! Enjoy watching all fliers on the field together

1:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Performances by Featured Fliers

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Tours of the Big Kite Field

4:00 pm: Festival Closes

The Whale Bites Cafe is back!!
Opening March 31, 2023!

Hi friends!

You might have heard some talk around town - and it’s true! We are very excited to announce the grand reopening of Whale Bites Cafe in Depoe Bay, set with a fresh new menu to satisfy your cravings! We know there are a few food options that are tough to find on the coast - so we want to bring them to you. Our menu will feature real fruit smoothies, hearty sandwiches, homestyle soups, your breakfast favorites and more, along with grab and go items from the deli case for when you are in a hurry! We will offer plenty of vegan, vegetarian & gluten free alternatives to meet your needs. Our hope is to provide a fresh, new, sustainable option for the local community and visitors, and to support the farm to table lifestyle by using local or house made products whenever possible.

Drumroll please… we will be open to the public on March 31st! All other details will be shared when we are ready. For now, you can look forward to your new favorite way to start the day - at Whale Bites Cafe! 🐋🌲🌞
