Hello Scott's Oquaga Lake House friends! As some of you know we had to sell the resort last year. Fortunately, we kept 5 acres along the lake including the original farmhouse. Jonathan and I (Jai) are renovating the farmhouse and getting it ready for vacation rentals this summer.

To all our dear friends and loyal supporters of Scott's,

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Scott's Family Resort will not be opening for the 2020 season. Our hearts are broken. We hope for a silver lining in all of this. Please know that we will try our best to keep a tiny little part of Scott's alive, even if it is at Patty and Gary's house 💕

This downhill shot was taken from the hill behind the Main Lodge. Scott's opened up a portion of the hotel during the winter for a few years and had a tow-rope and a few downhill ski trails available for guests, plus ice skating on the lake.

continues! These two images were sent in by one of our followers, Donna Walker Lewis. The Green Gables [top] was an early annex on the property, built to accommodate the growing number of guests. You can see the original water tower for the main grounds in this photo (take a stroll alongside the Green Gables today and you can still see the footpads where the tower once stood).

The bottom image shows a number of guests relaxing around the back porch of the main Farm House. This building was completely destroyed by fire on Christmas Eve in 1921, however, RJ Scott Sr vowed to rebuild and successfully reopened the Farm House to his guests the following year. It would soon take on new additions and become known as the Main Lodge.
