Thinking about booking a trip to Kyrgyzstan? Well, it's definitely worth adding Toktogul Lake to your itinerary. Here are some additional tips and details to help you plan your visit:

The lake's crystal clear waters are perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing, so make sure to bring your swimsuit and fishing gear.

If you're interested in learning more about the hydroelectric power plant, you can take a tour of the dam and learn about the history and impact of the project on the region.

The nearby Tien Shan Range is a must-see destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. In addition to the natural attractions mentioned earlier, you can also explore the Karakol Valley, which offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.

If you're traveling from Bishkek, you can also consider stopping at the Burana Tower on your way to Toktogul Lake. This ancient minaret is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and provides a fascinating glimpse into the region's rich history and culture.

Lastly, don't forget to try some of the local cuisine during your stay. Kyrgyz cuisine is known for its hearty meat dishes, such as beshbarmak (a type of noodle soup with lamb or beef) and manti (steamed dumplings filled with meat and onions).

The Seven Bulls (Jeti-güz), one of Kyrgyzstan's most photographed natural attractions, is an abrupt serrated ridge of ferric-red sandstone cliffs that have been vertically sliced into a succession of rounded bluffs. The formation isn't exceptionally large, but it's most remarkable in late spring, when the rosy tints of the granite contrast with the surrounding green fields and hills. The ridge rises straight north of Jeti-güz Korort, a Soviet-era sanatorium.

Uzbek art has a long history dating back a millennia. The republican age of antiquity was defined by the blossoming of buildings, monumental paintings, sculptures, and jewellery art. Only a few countries in the world have a more extensive art history than Uzbekistan. Entire cities have been embellished with beautiful mosaic tiles, complex ceiling murals, and towering monuments. Cities such as Khiva, which is often described as a "Living Museum City," or Bukhara's ancient town, which has been so beautifully preserved that it is like stepping into a time capsule, are examples of this. Finally, there is Samarkand, which has grand monuments created by the Timurid Empire, dotted all over the city.

Uzbekistan is a truly a country where Art comes "ALIVE"

Uplistsikhe Cave - Georgia

This once enormous cave city sits 10km east of Gori above the north side of the Mtkvari River. Between the 6th century BC and 1st century AD, Uplistsikhe developed into one of the chief political and religious centres of pre-Christian Kartli, with temples dedicated principally to the sun goddess. After the Arabs occupied Tbilisi in AD 645, Uplistsikhe became the residence of the Christian kings of Kartli and an important trade centre on a main caravan road from Asia to Europe.

Geghard Monastery - Armenia

Named after the lance that pierced Christ’s side at the crucifixion (a shard is now on display at the museum in Etchmiadzin), this World Heritage–listed monastery is carved out of a cliff alongside the Azat River Gorge. Founded in the 4th century, the monastery's oldest chapel dates back to the 12th century and its tremendously atmospheric Surp Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God Church) dates from 1215. The cathedral features wonderful carvings and its surrounding chapels make for terrific exploring.

Largely destroyed by an earthquake in 1679, the Parthenon-like structure was rebuilt between 1969 and 1975. It features a monumental staircase and Ionic columns topped by a frieze. Tsminda Sameba Church - Georgia

This 14th-century church 2200m above Stepantsminda has become almost a symbol of Georgia for its incomparably photogenic hilltop setting with mighty Mt Kazbek rising behind it, and for the fierce determination involved in building it on such a lofty, isolated perch. The views back over Stepantsminda are incredible.

Catholicos Nerses III (known as 'the Builder') sponsored construction of the 'Celestial Angels Cathedral' in the 7th century. Destroyed in the 10th century, its ruins now stand in a semi-industrial landscape near Zvartnots Airport and were included on Unesco's World Heritage List in 2000.

It was originally dedicated to – and housed relics of – Surp Grigor Lusavorich, the first Catholicos of the Armenian Church. A model in the on-site museum shows what it may have originally looked like.

Po-i-Kalan, also known as Poi Kalan, is an Islamic religious complex in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The complex is divided into three sections: the Kalan Mosque, the Kalan Minaret, and the Mir-i-Arab Madrasah. The three structures are arranged to form a square courtyard in the centre, with the Mir-i-Arab and the Kalan Mosque on opposite ends.

Furthermore, the square is surrounded on the northern and southern ends by a bazaar and a set of baths connected to the Minaret.

The complex's congregational mosque is one of the largest in Central Asia, trailing only the Bibi Khanum Mosque in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and the Great Mosque of Herat in Afghanistan.

Arslan Khan commissioned both the Kalan Mosque and the Kalan Minaret in 1121, with the famed Kalan Minaret completed in 1127. However, in 1220, Genghis Khan destroyed the original Mosque, leaving only the Kalan Minaret standing as he was amazed by how the structure.
