Foodies! Your time is coming!! The 2024 Epcot Food and Wine Festival starts August 29th and we have the menu ready if you’re looking to eat around then world. Everything from Mac and Cheese to shrimp tacos, from pickle milkshakes to Italian style “nachos”, from a Chicago-style hot dog to Belgian waffles. This food fest has it all!
The Food and Wine festival runs from Aug 29th through Nov 23rd so there’s still time to book your trip!

Did I stay up way too late last night to hear all the future plans for the Disney Parks even though we’re taking a road trip today? Yes I did and the news out of D23 is nothing short of incredible! Everything from new attractions (a Coco ride and TWO new rides in Avengers Campus at California Adventure, and 2 new Cars rides in the Magic Kingdom), to new themed lounges, to FOUR NEW LANDS including….A VILLAINS LAND IN MAGIC KINGDOM!!! Fans of theme parks are truly getting spoiled in Orlando and Anaheim and I am here for all of it!
Are you in the middle of everything Back to School? How about a little Sail-a-Way Saturday to take you out of reality? Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas will surely take you away from reality and off to paradise! The biggest ship in the world has itineraries that can take you to the Bahamas, St. Kitts, Roatan, Mexico, and more. This ship is booking all the way out to 2026 so you can plan with lots of time before you leave.

Walt Disney World has a really fun perk coming in 2025 for their resort guests - You will have your choice of visiting either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach for free on your arrival day! These water parks are so fun and really under appreciated.

Are you a family of 5 or 6 that needs room to spread out and doesn’t want to get 2 rooms? Art of Animation at Walt Disney World could be your answer! Thiscresort has family suites that sleep 6 comfortably, have a kitchenette, and have 2 full bathrooms. Plus the resort has the best themed pools around, including the Cozy Cone Pool that makes you feel like you’re right inside Radiator Springs!

I know it’s hard to believe but the Halloween season starts this week at Disney World!! The first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party is this Friday and the decorations are already going up in preparation for a frightfully good time for all the guests. This party has sold out several dates already so if you still want to go, let me know and we can start working on your trip!
Have you dreamed about going to the Olympics? You are not alone! This is a bucket list trip for me so Emmy and I are going to Los Angeles in 2028! I’ve already got an interest list started of people who want to know when official event locations are released and when hotel reservations are available. Sunday Spotlight! Today I’m highlighting one of Disney World’s largest resorts, Caribbean Beach Resort. This resort has so much to offer - it has spacious rooms that can sleep up to 5, an amazing main pool that has 2 slides and the Banana Cabana pool bar and grill, Sebastian’s Grill is right off the lobby for a more formal dining experience, and it’s the main hub for the Skyliner. It also falls into the Moderate resort category so it’s not as expensive as say the Polynesian. Now, did you hear me say it’s one of the largest resorts? This is where I help you decide what type of room would fit your party best so that you aren’t spending your whole vacation just walking to your room. We stayed here a couple years ago and loved it!

Yesterday Disney Cruise Line dropped more info on their next cruise ship, the Disney Destiny! It’s themed for heroes and villains with this family’s favorite one perched on the stern - Spider Man! The main hall is themed after Black Panther and Wakanda and looks stunning. There will also be a lounge inspired by Doctor Strange, Worlds of Marvel dining starring Rocket and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, and Super Hero Academy in the kids club. If ya’ll know me and Emmy at all you know we’re definitely going on this ship!
The Disney Destiny will be sailing out of Fort Lauderdale on 4 and 5 night cruises to the Bahamas and western Caribbean. Bookings go on sale to the general public on September 12th!
Details for The Ministry of Magic section of Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe were released yesterday and it looks absolutely jaw-dropping. There’s going to be a section based on Fantastic Beasts in France that is like the French Diagon Alley but on a bigger scale, all new dining and shopping experiences, and then you take the Floo over to the British Ministry of Magic where there is a ride based on the trial of Dolores Umbridge. Holy cow it sounds incredible!!
I’m staying on top of everything Epic Universe will have to offer so let me know if you’re interested in visiting in 2025!

Happy birthday Harry Potter! The 2 lands of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando are already amazing but we’re getting a NEW LAND next year! Universal has teased that more info will drop today on the Ministry of Magic. I’m so excited to find out more!
This is my gentle reminder to you that if you don’t have TSA PreCheck, you’re flying wrong. You zip by the general TSA lines, which if you’ve ever been stuck in a security line you know how slow they can be. And children under 13 are permitted to tag along with an adult with PreCheck. It’s definitely worth the little bit of time and money to get signed up!

Walt Disney World’s newest park tech has launched! Goodbye Genie+ (and all those hours studying it), hello Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass! This new system allows you to book 3 ride experiences up to 7 days in advance if you’re staying on Disney Property and 3 days if staying off property or if you’re an annual pass holder. I’m watching all the Disney vloggers and influencers to see what their experiences are like using the new system and will also be trying it out myself in September. I’m learning it so I can pass the knowledge onto my clients.
What questions do you have about the new system?
It was a good morning booking all of the dining for our September trip! At first nothing - and I mean NOTHING - we wanted was available. But a little fiddle faddling (iykyk) and we got everything we wanted at the perfect times. I provide this service to all of my Disney clients so I’m the one up at 6 am figuring out reservations instead of you. It’s part of the package you get with my concierge level services!
In true fashion of “nothing ever stays the same” Disney announced earlier this summer that they were getting rid of Genie+, the current system for how to skip the standby lines. Starting TOMORROW it’s changing to the Multi Pass and Single Pass options with the opportunity to book up to 3 attractions up to 7 days in advance for Disney Resort guests. I’m going to be keeping up with all the news on how-to’s, hiccups, and best strategies so that I have the best info for my clients.
And does anyone else hear “Multi Pass” and go straight to “Leeloo Dallas Multi Pass”? IYKYK 😉
If you or your family are into the scary part of Halloween, you should consider a trip to Orlando for Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights! There are 10 terrifying haunted houses themed after movies and themes you know like A Quiet Place and Insidious, 5 scare zones where monsters and villains make sure you never relax, and truly wild live entertainment. This event definitely isn’t for the littlest ones in your family, but if you’ve got teens and adults who love a good jump scare, this is for you! Our family is one with a severe food allergy so wherever we go I’m always nervous of small ingredients making their way into food without us knowing. It can be really scary, but luckily Walt Disney World and Disneyland have lessened the worry for us by a mile by having these allergy guides in all their restaurants that shows each of the main allergens and which menu items contain them. If you still have concerns they encourage you to ask to talk to the chef! Just another way Disney helps make their parks safe and enjoyable for everyone.

The Skyliner is Disney’s newest form of transportation, opening back in 2019. It runs from Pop Century and Art of Animation to Caribbean Beach and the Riviera, taking its passengers to either Hollywood Studios or Epcot’s International Gateway. Pop Century was the first resort Emmy and I stayed at in Walt Disney World and it’s so fun!
