It's officially Summer, and it is HOT 🥵

If you're traveling to Disney (or any other theme park), you will be in the heat and the elements all day long most days. BUT-- no worries! Here are some ways to beat the heat and enjoy your Summer Disney vacay!

1. 💦 HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE! Pack a refillable water bottle that you can use in the parks! Staying hydrated is super important on hot days! Look for bottle filling stations or grab a free cup of ice water at Quick-Service locations to fill throughout the day. Here is my favorite! https://amzn.to/3VBUwx8

2. 🥶 Cooling towels! Cooling towels are available in the park, but I highly recommend getting them before you travel! Try these! They are super affordable, come with carriers to clip to your bag and come in a variety of colors! https://amzn.to/45zUGtC

3. 🧉 Get the frozen drinks! I know we are trying to save money, but sometimes, it pays to get the frosted drink! Grab a frozen lemonade from Casey's Corner to keep cool while you watch the Festival of Fantasy parade!

4. ❄️ Indoor attractions! Some of my favorite "cool down attractions" are Carousel of Progress and Mickey's Philhar Magic in MK, Frozen Ever After in HS, Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy and Turtle Talk with Crush in EPCOT, and Festival of the Lion King at AK!

5. 🌊 Water park! Disney has 2 amazing water parks: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. And let me tell you, they are SO FUN. I love a good water park, and these will not disappoint!

6. 🏊‍♀️ Following in line with #5, head back to your resort for a pool break! When we take our toddler, we head back to the resort midday for an hour or so swim, a power nap and then head back to the parks to power thru the day!

7. 🍽 Table Service Dining! Go have a seat at a character dining experience and spend an hour or more relaxing in the A/C while meeting your fave characters without waiting in line!

8. 🌀Journey of Water, inspired by Moana! This EPCOT attraction is a walk thru experience, and you go at your own pace. There is a splash area for kids to cool down and lots of interactive water activities. (May wanna bring a change of clothes for the littles, bc it's impossible to keep them out of it!)

The Journey of Water is an interactive water play attraction that you walk thru at your own pace. Play music with the water harps, walk thru a water curtain, see the one and only Te Fiti herself and much more!

Happy Sunday everyone! ☀

☔️ This week looks like a rainy one in Disney (or any other place in the area), so what better time than to share all our tips and tricks for surviving Disney during rainy weather?

Here are mine! 👇

💧 First off, DON'T PANIC! If you see the weather is looking yucky ahead of your trip, do not worry. It rains all the time in Florida. And it's true what they say... Florida rain is different. It is almost always scattered.

💧 Ponchos. Disney has ponchos available around the parks and resorts that are great quality. My recommendation is buy before you go. Be prepared before you enter the parks that way you aren't scrambling to find rain gear to purchase. The disposable ones on my Amazon storefront are what I get for my family and they are great to wear for the day and toss!

💧 SHOE COVERS. Trust me on this one. Buy the rain gear with the shoe covers. The only thing worse than your clothes being wet are your shoes and socks being wet. The ponchos on my Amazon storefront come with the matching shoe covers. I promise you want these. Non-negotiable for me.

💧 Stroller covers for the little ones. This allows you to keep the littles and your belongings dry!

💧 Grab a locker. This isn't a must for me, but Disney has lockers available to rent. Store you and the fam some extra clothes, shoes or whatever necessary in case you get drenched!

💧 Pre-book your restaurants. This allows you to be inside and seated quickly during a shower!

💧 Indoor attractions. A lot of Disney attractions are indoors! You will be in the elements to get from point A to point B, but once inside, you're golden.

💧 See a show. Again, indoor!

💧 Hop on the monorail! Resort hopping is dry and super fun! The monorail is a ride in itself and makes stops at the most beautiful resorts. Go browse the stores or grab a bite at the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary or the Polynesian! Each resort is a destination itself and has so much to see and offer!

💧 DO NOT CANCEL! A lot of people see rain and immediately reschedule or plan a different activity outside the parks. This means low crowds and low wait times. Gear up and brave the weather! Few attractions close for rain. Fireworks still happen (unless there is lightning). Disney goes on. Rain can actually be welcoming in the Summer heat!

🧞‍♂️Let's talk about Genie+ and if it's worth the cost!

Short answer, YES. 🤩 I will always budget for Genie+ on my trips. But it may not be for everyone!

⭐️ Genie+ is the add on to your My Disney Experience app that allows you to book rides and experiences at select attractions. These are called Lightning Lanes. Once you book one attraction, you can book another immediately upon checking into your attraction OR 2 hours after your first LL was booked.

⭐️ In addition, it gives you access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses, a special collection of Disney-themed lenses for your mobile device!

⭐️ You will also receive digital downloads of select Disney PhotoPass attraction images taken in the park on the day of your purchase!

⭐️ Genie+ cost differs day to day. But on average, you can count on it being at least $25 per person per day and it is available to purchase at midnight the day of your park pass. You can book your first Lightning Lane starting at 7AM.

Questions? Let's talk! It seems complicated, but I promise it's not! Don't let Genie+ scare you, because it will maximize your amount of attractions and experiences!

Everything you need to know before you *DROP* into Tiana's Bayou Adventure!

🐸 How to ride... First option, Virtual Queue. Times drop at 7AM and 1PM so have that app up and ready! Second option, Genie+ service! Get you a lightning lane and head on over when your time comes!

🐸 Smile! There is a big drop at the end of the bayou and when your 🎶𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 🎶, Disney PhotoPass Service will snap a quick pic of you!

🐸 You may get wet... so if you don't welcome the cool-down, bring your rain gear!

🐸 New merch! After riding the new ride, head over to the Emporium for your Princess and the Frog merch!

🐸 BEIGNETS!!! The best part (IMO)! Starting opening day, June 28th, Golden Oak Outpost and The Friar's Nook will be serving Tiana's famous beignets drizzled with honey and powdered sugar! They will only be available for a limited time, so get them while you can!
