This is our grandpa. He left this earth years ago but not before he got the chance to see a Black man become president. Not before he got the chance to vote for a Black man to become president (twice). Grandpa had a big hand in raising us and he believed in treating people with kindness and doing for others (our mom took after him well in a lot of ways). Grandpa didn’t vote or love people the way stereotypes would expect from an old white guy raised in the south. I like to think he’s smiling on everything we do with Two Sisters (though he would worry about us like he always did). Today I think he is smiling on all of us coming together to fight the good fight. Go vote. Be gentle with yourself and others. We got this. Our ancestors are smiling. Go vote.

THIS WEEKEND: Our last Sunset Float of the 2024 season is Friday. We have 1 kayak seat and 2 canoe seats left! Our Leaf Looker Paddle on Saturday is sold out. Only one more trip after this weekend. November 23 Lower Eno River Discovery Paddle has limited spaces still available. Join us for one more paddle this year!
