I was being a big baby and didn't want to go out into the cold to capture the nearly full moon. So I set my camera up in my bathroom knowing that the moon would be rising right in front of me and would intersect with the MSP airport flight path. I was able to catch just one plane flying in front of the moon. I got lucky.

Last night at the last minute we decided to run out to try to capture the Northern Lights. We were able to catch this shot in a random spot near Roberts Wisconsin at 11pm.

Last evening the Lowry Avenue Bridge was lit in red to honor the fallen firefighters. The lighting system is broken so the middle is now stuck on green. A friend who is a former Minneapolis police officer arranged to have one of the Minneapolis ladder fire trucks park on the bridge so we could take their photo. It was a cool experience.

The Milky Way core hanging out over Valley Grove Church near Nerstrand. I did a thing with my buddy and went out in the middle of the night to capture the Milky Way above this church. Figuring out how to process this image took me two weeks. The lighting was a challenge, I was trying to remember how to set up my startracker and I just was fumbling. But in the end I got something acceptable. There is always something to learn and build upon for the next adventure.
