We are open today! We have plenty of drinks, snacks, and lots of ice cream! Big Howie is a favorite and sells out quickly.  Also try out the Paddillac, the two person hybrid standup paddle board/kayak. It’s also been a favorite this season. After today we will be open on weekends only (weather permitting). 
We will be staying open after Labor Day!
We will have fall treats, cider and coffee for sale in the concession stand and will continue to offer a large variety of chips and ice cream.

Will you be visiting for the autumn foliage? Maybe you’re a local who wants to get out and enjoy the fall colors. Do you own an inn or just have house guests that are looking for something to do? How about kayaking at Emerald lake and looking at the beautiful foliage? This year, rather than closing for the season on Labor Day weekend we are extending our rental season and concessions stand and staying open until October 13. We will be open weekends only and hours are yet to be determined. Along with the regular snacks at the concession stand, we will be offering fall goodies as well such as pumpkin and apple baked goods, apple cider and hot coffee will be available. We will also have Wilcox ice creams pumpkin flavored 802 bars. For sale will be some local Vermont products such as apple and pumpkin butter, mustard, and other fun fall goodies.

The last week has been hot and sunny and perfect lake weather. We’ve added even MORE ice cream to our menu! Orange creamsicles, chocolate eclair bars, fudgesicles and more! And coming Friday is Wilcox dairy’s new “Big Howie” bars! Replacing the Biggy Iggy but even better. Two large chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle. Stop by the Emerald snack shack/Spirit of Sonora boat rentals at Emerald lake state park.
Added to the snack shack menu-Bomb pops, Strawberry shortcake bars and Bubly seltzer water. Soon we will also be offering The Big Howie from Wilcox dairy!
Due to another rainy day we will be closed today. We will be shopping today for the concession stand instead and stocking up for the upcoming holiday! Tomorrow looks to be a bit better so we will open at 10.
Just delivered to my doorstep and will be brought to Emerald Lake tomorrow! Brand new tandem flat top kayak. Lots of leg room with this kayak for both paddlers. Sturdy and stable this tandem will be sure to please for those who want more leg room and sun. Also good for the furry passengers as well.

Though there’s a touch of blue sky showing and no wind or rain yet, due to the extreme  weather forecast predicted for later today we will be closed for the entire day. Take weather warnings seriously and seek shelter. The storm could be nothing or could be something. Better to be safe! We will reopen Monday. 
We allow dogs on our boats! We are dog lovers, and know that people love to do things with their pets! As long as your furry companion is well behaved, and you let us know in advance, your dog can take a ride with you on our boats or paddleboards at no additional cost. Please be respectful of the rules of the parks beach. Dogs are not allowed on the day use grassy area or on the beach, but are allowed on the hiking trails and off on the sides of the day use area as long as they are not left unattended. Dogs can enter the kayak off to the left side of the beach where launching is.
We allow dogs on our boats! We are dog lovers, and know that people love to do things with their pets! It’s another gorgeous day at the lake.
Went and explored Gale Meadows Wildlife Management Area with my husband yesterday, with our kayaks. We got there later in the day, and only stayed til the sun went down. We are going back later, to explore other half.
My son and I went kayaking on Glen Lake in Vermont, and recreated a trip we did 18 years ago. We had the whole lake to ourselves. This took place first week in May, leaves in New England had not popped open yet. It was a warm beautiful day, we saw turtles, geese, hummingbird, beaver, and even some fish! Enjoy the sounds of paddling along the water as we explore.
