The Flying Bridge is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Falmouth! You can’t go wrong with their menu, but I love their fisherman’s platter and garden salad. Their sushi is also fantastic and fresh, and their bang bang shrimp is amazing too. Tons of waterfront seating and great martinis!

Mashpee Commons is an outdoor mall just 14 minutes from Oyster Shore Cottage! It’s filled with both local and chain stores and eateries with plenty of gift, clothing, and toy stores to choose from.

We walked around this weekend and enjoyed coffee at , a cookie from , and we window shopped and snagged some goodies from The Spice and Tea Exchange, kids stores and the adorable gift & home decor shop, (pictured here!).

In the summer, has a beer tent, and you can even go putt putt golfing with the kids nearby!

Your views along the Shining Sea Bikeway in Falmouth! You can bike to the path and on to Woods Hole straight from your front door at Oyster Shore Cottage 🤍🚲

From the cottage it’s a flat, ~16 miles round trip, with large stretches along the waterfront. You pass many waterfront restaurants along the way, so there are plenty of options for a bite with a view! 💙🌊

Bring your own bikes or rent them and have them delivered to your front door! More info in the Welcome Book at the cottage 🤍☀️

We love biking to The Black Dog Heights Cafe from Oyster Shore Cottage! Their sandwiches and fries are great, but we can’t get enough of their fresh muffins. It’s hard to pick a favorite…but mine might be the pistachio muffin!

There are few places quite as charming as Woods Hole 💙 It’s a must visit when staying at Oyster Shore Cottage! A 20 minute drive, but on a nice day I love biking there from the cottage - it’s a flat, ~8 mile ride and you have gorgeous waterfront views for most of the trip! Plus lots of waterfront restaurants you can stop at for refreshments along the way ☺️

Where is my favorite lobster roll from?

The Clam Man fish market in Falmouth! It’s perfect. Large chunks of sweet, fresh lobster, the perfect amount of mayo and just a tiny crunch or two of minced celery. They serve it on a warm, freshly toasted, buttered roll. It’s takeout only, so I like to bring mine to a picnic table in front of the library downtown or better yet, to the beach! Just bring your own bag of Cape Cod chips and you’re good to go 🙌

This pic is from Cape Cod Winery, just a mile down the road from Oyster Shore Cottage! It is quintessentially Cape Cod with gorgeous hydrangeas, crushed seashell paths, tabletop “fire pits,” live music, the friendliest crew, and, of course…delicious wine! Their mermaid water dry rosé and frosé are my favorites. It’s a must visit during your stay! 🤍🍷
