We hope that everyone had a happy and healthy 2019. We told you we had big things in store, and we are starting 2020 with a bang. We want to officially introduce our new name, Tidewater heating & Cooling. Like our new page to stay in touch and keep up with all the big things we are doing in the new year!

We have experience in standard HVAC systems, high-end boilers, and geothermal systems. We can also deviate from these more common systems and scope of work.

Boiler demo. This boiler was “serviced” every year from the looks of exchanger only burner was serviced. Oil boilers need proper maintenance which includes cleaning heat exchanger.

During routine inspection noticed mold in crawlspace. This crawlspace was over 90% humidity. We sealed crawl and installed an Aprilaire dehumidifier with control. This allows customer to control and monitor humidity level in crawlspace.

We service all makes of sealed gas insert and gas log sets. Sealed gas insert units are a great way to supplement your homes central heating system and add ambiance to the room. Sealed inserts differ from gas log sets being that the flame and all combustion gases are kept separate for room air making them very safe. While gas logs are fine for supplemental heat and have more of a traditional look we do not recommend leaving them running unsupervised. Sealed insets can even be put on a thermostat and cycle on and off while you are away.

Ductless air conditioners and heat pump are becoming more main stream. Many times they offer greater efficiency than traditional systems and allow for faster less expensive installation. Making that bonus or sun room comfortable may be easier than you think.

After their CO detector alerted them a quick inspection turned up a cracked heat exchanger and a level of 10 ppm of CO in the home. We installed a Bryant gas furnace as a replacement. If your home has any LP or Natural Gas equipment CO detectors are important.
